[Augello] Gracieuseté de Hockey Night In Canada, cela montre à quel point Justin Holl était hors de position lors de l’échappée de Duclair. Être là où il est en infériorité numérique est inexcusable.

I should have been surprised that on a PK they could let a guy get behind them like that for such a clean break. But with this team, nothing surprises me anymore.

In all fairness McCabe was completely out of position as well.

Both D were out of position on this play. I loved McCabe in the Tampa series and he’s still thrown some massive checks in round 2, but his decision making has been terrible recently

We can blame goalies, we can blame refs, we can blame D, but ultimately you’re gonna need some fucking goals.

Keefe can go, just for continuing to use holl.

Justin Holl reminds me of this quote about government:

« You will find that the State is the kind of organization which, though it does big things badly, does small things badly too. »

iHoll is an AHL player, Keefe is an AHL coach. I can’t wait until Keefe is fired and he takes his lover boy Holl with him.

  8. I get being upset but this sub has developed this real serious hate boner for Holl that’s getting weird.

This is why people hate Leafs fans, and why players talk about how stressful it can be

  9. McCabe was slow to react but It’s probably because he assumed Holl would have been in position. I don’t want to keep on knocking Holl, but he really isn’t good enough and I’ve been saying this for years.

How could they put him back in. Shows the desperation. Only as good as the weakest link

    Jarnkrok – Matthews – Nylander
    Tavares – O’Reilly – Marner
    Bunting/Lafferty – Kampf – Acciari/Kerfoot

Just load up and play three lines with extra minutes for whoever feels it. Fuck line matching, either they win their minutes or fuck em

    Reilly – Schenn
    Brodie – Lily
    Gustavsson – McCabe

    Will starts

screw it, long time lurker first time poster. Screw everyone who even tries to justify having Holl over Lilly. Bruh are you guys insane?

The fact that the only compliment you can muster over your choice of Holl is « he blocks shots » is an embarrassment. Bro a broken literal bag of pucks when placed in the correct location can block shots.

Gap control, break out passes, using body the right way, strength, transition game, vision, playing under pressure, shot, passes, defensive IQ, offensive IQ – these are just some of the things Lilly is miles ahead of than Holl. This isn’t a subjective analysis, check out all of the objective advanced and non advanced stats. Lilly >>>> Holl

But ofc when our home grown, 1st round pick, early 20s defensemann makes a mistake, has a couple of rough games he gets cut from the lineup. When the near 30 year old almost career AHL Dman has been abysmal for 3 years now he gets a free pass.

This organization does not know how to value, retain, and develop young defensemen. Lilly situation has Stralman 2.0 written all over it. Heck Sandin will already become that. I look around the league and see how other organizations have been so patient in developing their young Dmen – why can’t the leafs do the same? You think the Slavins of the world were mistake free in their early years? People talk about Niemela and I laugh. This org can’t even give a spot to their own 2017 first round pick Dman who had elite (underlying) stats throughout all stages of minor hockey and now the NHL, how the heck will they give a chance to Niemela and more?

  13. he shouldn’t even have been in the game. not that he is solely responsible for the loss, but he just shouldn’t be there.
