As a hawks fan, I am overjoyed and thrilled! We lost Kane and toews and I’m excited to see what not a dumbass GM can do with this team and Bedard. As a human being, I am disgusted that this was allowed to happen.
Jarmo should trade up with the Ducks to get that #1 center, give this and next year's 1st round picks + something. I doubt there's anything he could offer to the Blackhawks to get the #1 pick.

Called this months ago. The Blackhawks were a inferno and we knew that Kane and Toews were gone, not to mention the oh we arent tanking trades of Dach and Debrincat. Oh wait but there is more, how about the non tendering of the RFA's Strome and Kubalik. Yeah those guys are pretty crap too… What a perfect reward for a club has such a good reputation of being well run, above board in all ways and would never consider selling off in order to tank. Another load of crap worse that the bs 2020 draft when the Rangers jumped up to 1st. Oh wait its another Original 6 team getting helped by a crooked system. As Shannon says and we most rational fans know, players and coaches dont tank, but Owners and GM's sure as hell do. Kind of sad to see this. I am still shocked that Arizona lost a first round pick for holding pre-draft workouts while Chicago kept theirs even though they knowingly covered up sexual assault of their young players? What did Bettman say? Oh, the appropriate punishment was doled out. Yeah, way to say you care about the kids. If I were a parent of one of these 18 year olds, I'd be terrified to send my kid there. I hope Bedard ends up okay (and he probably will given that I think they do try to protect their stars), but it gives a total ick.

over the last 3 years there were not great draft classes, laf being the last guaranteed #1 forward pick, and bedard is the first center top prospect since hughes. Of course right when you get rid of toews and kane they win a draft lottery let the blackhawks suffer for a couple of years.
After trading away Hagel and Dach, among others, I can't believe the Hockey Gods awarded Bedard to Chicago. Their tank was pretty annoying. It's one thing to sell your old creaky guys but your 22 year olds?

Curling is on par with watching paint dry. Male tennis players can at least volley well and make more acrobatic shots, women's players typically just hit it back and forth until someone makes an unforced error. Not terrible – but not as good as the men's game.
