Already accepted. Fantilli won the Hobey Baker as a freshman.. first person to do that was Paul Kariya. It’s a sign. Would have Berdard been better? Probably, but it’s a damn good consolation prize.
I accepted Chicago getting Bedard 3 months ago but nobody would listen, the fact Anaheim got 2nd overall instead of 3rd is a win in my book!!! Let’s go Fantalli!!!!
Canuck here. You guys are gonna dominate the league in the coming years. I’ll be watching your games with or without Bedard. You guys got a good pick, and you’re getting a star player.
I went straight to Copium. Fantilli is gonna be amazing and he’s got a bigger frame. I feel like he’s gonna be as good as Matthews, Tavares, Tkachuk-tier type of stars. Most teams are lucky to have two of those guys, we gonna have four and that’s just on offense. I’m sure we’ll have some blueliner star power too.
Plug him with our current pool, in addition to the other 5 top100 picks we got, we’re bound to have another complementary depth lineup to fill out our 3rd/4th lines. Add whoever wants to join as a FA merc to chase a cup and we’re solid for the next decade.
All according to plan.
Chicago is gonna be bad for a while. One prospect doesn’t make the other guys better. Getting Fantilli still gives us a great window, especially with our young guys.
