   I can get people thinking the Hawks Org wasn’t punished enough… but to jump from that to the lottery being rigged is silly

   We heard nothing when the Sabres got 2 first overall picks in 4 years. Nothing when the devils got 2 in 3 years. Penguins had 2 in 3 years. Thrashers had 2 in 3 years. Ottawa had 3 in 4 years. Edmonton got 4 out of 6. Quebec had 3 in a row at one point! Yet the hawks going 16 years between first overall picks is heresy, as if teams getting multiple first overall picks in a franchise’s history is a brand new thing.

   The part which bothers me the most is that if you genuinely believe it’s rigged, then you have to also believe all 32 teams are in on it, and are willing to keep it a secret while letting the Blackhawks win because the commissioner says so.

   « Man, we’d really like Bedard, but think of the ratings and jersey sales if the Blackhawks get him instead. I guess we’re okay with that, yeah! »
