I don't mind losing as much when they play a competitive game. They're going to build on all this next year, especially game 7 vs the Rangers and this game too. As they say, you have to learn to lose in order to learn to win. That's what this was. Looking forward to next year.
You guys grew a lot this year and making it to the Playoffs was huge! I have not been this excited about the team since about 2012. This may be disappointing but you proved a lot this year.
This season was the best of the devils and yes it sucks we lost but at least we won game saven when we beat the rangers I'm happy about that we also have next year
2022-2023 New Jersey Devils should leave Carolina proud. What a hell of a year. The team brought back real joy and hope to the fans. I can't wait to see what happens in the next 5 years. Enjoy the time off guys. Learn from mistakes and come back in the fall better than ever!

They will be hungry and mad next season. Chip on their shoulders and gritty I think. Jack has toughened up a bit. Nico has definitely added snarl since that whole Ekblad and tkachuk incident. They will be back
The team gave a good showing in their first playoff for most of them. They learned a few things about the team. One is a lot of the young guys showed they have it in them to perform in the playoffs. Jack Hughes performed how you expect a superstar 1C to play in the tight checking playoffs and proved he doesn't need the PP to do it. Not all superstar 1Cs can do that right away in the playoffs, some of them struggle, the fact that Jack didn't is a good sign he's going to be dominant in future playoffs. This was just his first taste and now that he knows what to expect I think he'll be even better next time. Nico Hischier got the tough defensive assignments and proved he can do it and he was very noticeable with his hard work in all 3 zones bearing down and being hard to play against. I think he'll contribute more offense while also getting even better with the 200 foot game in the playoffs. I expect he'll become one of the most annoying players to play against in the playoffs with how relentless he is defensively. All in all it was a good learning experience and most championship teams have to go through this to figure out what it takes to win in the real season.
A bunch of young players took it to the best veterans and up incoming players in the league and beat their ass…all season…most proud of Jack not in the running for the Lady Bing anymore…here comes the Fire!
