I think it would have been better for the leafs to get swept. The fans would have saved a mortgage payment had that happened. To think they paid for 3 games and netted 3 losses in very rare….almost as rare as them even making it past lightning in the first round. Toronto had the talent to win the series, but dug themselves too deep of a hole with losing the first 3 games. I believe changes needed to be made after the Montreal series two years ago. Now there is no excuse.
I knew this series was over when it got to be 3-0 in Floridas favor because Toronto was still drunk off winning the 1st round. While they have the star power, Toronto just doesn’t have the ability to overcome those obstacles.
Florida was far better than their record showed. Boston and Toronto found out the hard way.

Florida has a balanced team, you can say that Maurice's squads hammer people, but they play well on decisive hours. 7 wins in the last 8 games.
Meanwhile, Toronto relies on 4 players. When they play, it's great. When they don't play well, they don't win. They did not show up this series
Marner most overrated player in league. Tavares should be arrested for robbery with that contract. Matthews is going to go to Arizona or LA shortly. Panthers might be in the finals with that edge they play with (although I’ll be rooting for the canes)
