No way I go near Matthews and Marner without team friendly deals and zero no trade clauses.
Marner is an incredible talent. But he's got to build some mass/size (basically enable his physicality) and he'll be an unstoppable force.
The reality is the core 4 didn't get it done. Great bunch of guys. Talented and personable, but you gotta win. It's the end of era. Time for a change. Time for Marner to be traded.

Lots of odd man rushes … that ended with zero shots on net. The pass first mentality HAS to change. They won't all be back but its the one thing they need to learn, can't score if you don't shoot and they overpass the puck sooo much in the o-zone.

I can't stand the thought of Marner leaving this team. He's the most exciting person I've gotten to watch in a Leafs jersey. The passion he has is obvious and you cant take a player like that for granted.
