I want the Flyers to disband and return as an expansion team

If Vegas treated Fluery better they’d be more likeable

That’s so in the past. Vegas has shown how they’re the rangers of the west, just sign and release people like nothing. No real thought behind it, Seattle as of right now has a much better reputation in everyone’s mind. Maybe Seattle will do the same as Vegas but I doubt it. Beniers is an example, unlike Suzuki. It’s just a better story and easier to cheer for.

to be fair, both teams benefited by being able to pickup players from rosters across the league and never had to endure the hardships that other expansion teams experienced in the past.

Vegas > Seattle
One, because of the shooting that year
Two, because I’m an Anaheim Sports and 49ers fan, Fuck Seattle.

People were proud of Vegas for making it to the Finals their first year. It really wasn’t until the whole Fleury ordeal that everyone started treating them like villains.

Don’t worry Kraken fans, if your team continues to play well you’ll join us as one of the most hated teams within the next year or so.
You’ll go from the fairytale underdogs to “Well you never had to suffer!!! Your team doesn’t have a 30 year cup drought wahhhhhhh.”

The fact that expansion teams can do so well from the start is part of the problem. When teams can only protect so many players during the expansion draft… just so the NHL can maximize their profits from the new market, right Bettman?

“The expansion draft was stacked”
Man a lot more people should’ve been taking those giant odds at the beginning of the season in 2017 if Vegas was so loaded. No one believed they’d be any good in year one…even the most diehard optimist wouldn’t have thought the SCF was within reach. There were some people in Vegas who dropped homer bets on them the first year for shits and giggles and ended up with piles of cash.

I love how the finals are called « the fourth round »

I wonder how the Leaf fans must feel seeing all these expansion teams having more success than them.
