1. I still can't believe there was no pusback in the third. Makes no sense.

  2. Well when you are averaging 2 points a game and you are a minus for the playoffs you might be part of the problem 97

  3. Not sure where the Oilers fans are watching the game, maybe it is a local station and not the national ESPN but the high sticking game that the rest of North America saw, was not the ones you guys are calling out.

We saw a lot of blatant high sticks by the Oil and the refs were not calling those out. So maybe catch the game on ESPN, if you want a less biased view.

As for that knee on knee 13:42 maybe you should watch it again because I see an Oil knee into the side of Hague's knee. How do you even call that a knee on knee when its that obviously not a knee on knee?

  4. Oilers have to be consistent with play if they want to get past this series

  5. The Knights goalie got run over twice with no penalties so quit being cry babies

  6. Full disclosure, I am a VGK fan. Edmonton is a very exciting team with many great players. What bothers me is your lack of respect for the opponent. Every Edmonton loss is the refs fault, or Edmonton players failing to perform. The reality is VGK had the best record in the Western Conference; they also have many talented players capable of winning this series.

  7. no one see's the high sticks that lead to goals for vegas lol. back to not watching hockey again. if i wanted to watched rigged sports i'd watch ufc/nascar

  8. i need to clarify what i mean about woodcraft:

offensive and defensive strategy is 100% the head coaches job. if you are actually paying attention to the minor tweaks, head coaching matchups are fascinating. i'm not saying woodcroft is a bad coach, i am saying he is getting outmatched. the oilers have 4 5v5 goals through the 3 games (0.44 per period). not much you can do vs edmonton's powerplay… although vegas is getting better at defending them (if you look back to game 1, for example).

on the whitecloud goal, oilers are playing man-on-man defense up high, trying to push the puck handler to the point, suffocating them and restricting the passing lanes… then eventually out of the zone. this strategy has worked well for them for the first 2 games. this is a defensive strategy employed by woodcroft. its obvious that the knights worked on this prior to game 3 because it didnt have the same affect. cassidy made tweaks.

rewatch that goal: nurse and hyman push whitecloud and amadio to the point… instead of being suffocated, they cycle, giving whitecloud the inside.
as the puck gets close, cici is playing zone-defense down low (this is edmontons defensive strategy).
mcleod pushes karlson out of the crease, but karlson gets right back to the inside.
out of frame, hague is charging the net because he got the inside on ryan while amadio covers the point.

whitecloud had a tip option with karlson, a pass option with hague, but of course he chose to take the grade-a no-pressure shot. vegas also had 2 skaters back defending the points… this is not something that just happens, this is the offensive strategy deployed by cassidy. the skaters still have to do their part, but all cassidy needed to do was figure out how not to get suffocated at the point.

1; ryan lost the inside. 2; mcleod lost the inside. 3; nurse+hyman lost the inside. 4; cici is spectating. 5. those are the saves you need from skinner (although i dont think its his fault that he didnt). this is not a case where every edmonton skater sucks, this is what it looks like when a defensive strategy gets picked apart. also note, both marshy goals and the overturned roy goal exposed similar weakness'. this is not an accident.

so to shrug off critisim of woodcroft, building it into a strawman like the only job of the head coach is motivational lockeroom speaches is obtuse. the reason this game looked so lopsided wasnt the refs, it wasnt poor motivation, it was woodcroft. even in game 2, where the knights got clobbered (i know the oilers let off the gas in the 3rd period), their shots, hdsc, etc were still tied, at worst.

  9. Two more games and these bozos can go back to talking about how great the kings are. Oh and refs…refs for sure
Here's a little tidbit for you Liam…do you know which team lost the fewest games on the road in the nhl this season? Hint:(it's not the Kings!)

  10. The team collectively gave up after one after another bad calls, no calls. Why waste the energy was their philosophy at that point. Don't worry, Oilers will win the next game 4 to 2.

  11. The 2nd line has to be dismantled. They have no gusto. We need way more out of them. RNH and Hyman are good because of times they skate with Draisaitl or McD. They complement McD. The 1st line should be RNH – McD – Hyman, and the 2nd line should be Kane – Draisaitl – Yamamoto. 3rd line should be Foegele – McLeod – Ryan. 4th line should be Kostin – Bjugstad – Broberg (allow Broberg's talent to shine with more time). Defense… Nurse – Ceci, Ekholm – Bouchard, Kulak – Desharnais (Desharnais is not an offensive player but he can be effective on defense if he is careful. No more 11-7. That approach is exhausted.

  12. thought they would all be wearing paper bags today…
    or maybe should

  13. Edmonton Oilers a one dimensional team living off the power play and the worst fans in the NHL🥅🏒🇨🇦

  14. 1. Skinner is garbage. 2. Eichel owned mcdavid all series badly. 3. Draisaitl literally stands in one spot all game waiting to be fed goals on a silver platter. Take this L
