    1.William nylander

    2.Alex Debrincat

    3.The jets

Says that Connor and ehlers unlikely to move and says that Scheifele and hellebuyck Dubois and wheeler don’t come off as a fit for Detroit.

    4.Elias Lindholm

    5.Nick Schmaltz

    6.Brock Boeser

    7.Conor Garland

    8.Ross Colton

    9.Dan Vladar

    10.Jeremy Swayman

11.Sean Durzi(more likely they get a RHD in Free agency according to max.)

Three team trade. Non division rival to facilitate.

I think Debrincat is mostly likely to end up wearing the Winged Wheel. With the rumors about Dubas getting resigned and him saying he’ll keep the Core 4 around, I think Nylander is off the table. However, that changes if Matthews does in fact get a contract on July 1 because Toronto needs to free up cap space for him. He will be expensive for the Wings.

Debrincat has no ties to Ottawa, and I personally think their « rebuild » is going to be over very quickly. They [don’t have many people signed](https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/senators) past next year and have a lot of scoring that becomes FAs. They need to resign a lot and are already paying 3x guys all over $8m/yr. They don’t have any picks in the first 3 rounds of this year’s draft. In 2-3 years, their top lines will be fine but their depth is going to struggle.

I don’t think anyone on the Jets gets moved to Detroit. They are all too old for us and don’t fit our window. PLD is maybe the exception but all sources say he’s signing in Montreal.

Elias Lindholm would be another great fit. Calgary is going to [struggle with cap](https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/flames) in another few years. We probably don’t have to give up much to get him. I think he could get a $6.5m x 5yr type contract. Doesn’t play a very physical game so I’m not too worried about the end of the contract. Immediately adds scoring to our 2nd line and would be a great 2C that everyone knows we need.

Rest I think are a lot more unlikely. Garland (or Boeser) I think is the most likely to move since Vancouver needs to make room to pay Petey. Either would add immediate scoring to our 2nd line and just generally help our depth. Colton is interesting with the Tampa connection so that is a possibility. He would center the 3nd line? I don’t think we trade for a goalie, we sign a cheap one in FA or resign Ned.

Nylander, I would say. Hugely. The only problem is the Wings are still building out of the basement. You give away half your thin team for one player and you’re back in the basement.

Hes not my first target, and I have concerns with Wheeler in regards to age, salary, and attitude, but I’m still intrigued for 1 year. I think there’s potential for him to bounce back and be a large winger that can score. If you look at the Burns and Pacioretty trades last summer older high salary players will likely be cheap as teams don’t have cap room

  7. Gmanplayer

Please no DeBrincat. Undersized forwards with no defensive ability is not how we win

  8. some1337

Honestly I’d try to grab Ross Colton out of Tampa. Good chance they can’t afford him anymore. Solid 3rd line guy who wouldn’t cost a lot too.

  9. jfstompers

I think Schmaltz because he’ll cost the least because I can’t see yzerman trading high-end assets for anyone

  10. JakeRans

I like debrincat best if they want to trade out

I like debrincat best if they want to trade out

  12. letsgojoe99

Debrincat he can score 40–Nylander would be to expensive in return for where we’re at

  13. ASUMicroGrad

Ottawa won’t trade futures for a star player. Especially not to a team in the same division with potentially similar competitive windows. They will want a hockey trade or a prospect that can make the NHL out of camp. Think Kasper or Ed plus Veleno and a pick.

  14. DRWKUBIT

Schmaltz will just be a Fabbri.

Let’s bring Big Willy or the CAT over

  15. Jojo_Calavera

I don’t see Nylander as an Yzerman-type player. His offensive effort is inconsistent and his defensive effort is nonexistent.
