I beg your pardon?
Glad that he gets to play with his idol Elias Pettersson
[Official announcement](https://twitter.com/orebrohockey/status/1658401445425688579?s=46&t=7fabqgtgp69dNA1d51vxFw) from the team was posted a few hours ago.
The article linked in their tweet mentions the contract includes the 2024/25 season and that he’s coming to Vancouver for development camp in July.
Another tweet from Dhali:
> Former Canucks goalie Johan Hedberg is the coach for Lekkerimäki at Örebro, Hedberg is also friends with Canucks GM Patrik Allvin. The Canucks had a big say in where Lekkerimaki ended up.
The nice thing about this from the Canucks perspective is that our arguable top two current prospects (Lekkerimaki and D-Petey) are on the same team. Makes it a lot easier logistically to work with them.
Didn’t we just sign an 3 year entry level contract with this guy?
Kids already got elite contract signings/60
If he can get 10+ goals, 30+ points that would be a big season.
Hoping for a healthy season full of snipes and sauce
Lekkerimaki getting to maybe play a season with Leo Carlsson sounds amazing.
EP2 also plays for Örebro and former Canucks Philip Holm.
Probably best he just stays the full term honestly. Get used to a men’s league in your own country after a disappointing D+1 regular season. It’s not like we’re legitimately contending for anything in the next 2 years. Come over stronger, more confident, and ready to step in right away and be a big part of a, hopefully by then, contending team
Maybe Lek and Carlsson can get minutes together. Boost Leks value and probably make him a better player.
