  1. Dubas is manipulative and tried to change the narrative to I wonder if I will get fired to I am not sure if I want to stay. Get fresh eyes in the team…fire Dubas and the coach. Hire general manager to hire his own coach. Dubas knows how to project passion and uses that to camouflage his poor decisions.

  2. Give the guy a break. His job is GM. Everytime I hear about him he's handling the leafs, knows everything happening with ahl juniors, overseas leagues and what the media is saying. Let alone staying with injured players while they recover. He's built some incredible teams that have failed to play to their potential. The coach and players and responsible for delivering, not him. He did exactly what he said he would do from day 1. What are we complaining about?

  3. Kyle did the best he could BUT…he grossly overpaid Marner and Matthews. Get rid of the 2 of them to free up some money for a great goalie, some bruising defensemen and fearless hard-checking forwards. M&M are too soft and will NEVER be playoff ready. Facts.

  4. These guys have nothing to talk about now that the Leafs are eliminated. Questioning if the Dubas interview was unprofessional? Questioning if Dubas is going to another team even though he ruled that out? These guys just manufacture drama to fill the airtime. Offseason has arrived.

  5. Of course Dubas wants to stay as the Leafs’s GM provided he isn’t forced to trade one of the Core Four.

  6. The Leafs aren't close. They should be but anybody watching the Playoffs knows that this team is far away from a Cup or Finals. They were outplayed for a majority of those games. Edmonton is more likely to take that next step. They look hungry with Leo and McDavid.

  7. Just filler materiel till the fans find out whether Dubas stays or goes.Just wait and you will find out.Our opinions are not going to change the decision one way or another.

  8. I saw Rosy fight Colton Orr when Rosy was a Bruin. Remember they were team mates. He got a beatdown from his buddy Colton Orr. This was just business. I am sure they are still buddies. Man, I loved his intensity. Always stood up for himself and his team mates . Frankly. not a man on the Maple Leafs team stood up for him. when a teenager, Mathew Knies got hauled down and his faced rubbed in the ice. No one came to his defense. He never came back. This team needs to be shaken up at the core from owner, management and the core. That was pathetic. Not a healthy or striving culture. This Is embarrassing. Shake up the whole team ideology. Too soft for playoff hockey.

  9. ..so..Mathews wants to stay and win…but..he wants to get paid the most in the league…after years of not doing anything meaningful post season…no..no..move his overpaid under achieving ass out….send Marner wqith him..they are too soft..

  10. Dubas, We don't need your emotions. Don't let the door hit you on your way out. This is a man's game in the playoffs. Kill or be killed in the playoffs. I love Mathew Tkachuk. He punched his buddy Mitch Marner twice after the game. They were team mates on top line when they played together with the London Knights in the OHl. They won the cup together. Marner's response, what are you doing to me, referee! Of course the game was over at that time. Referees could do nothing. Mathew Tkachuk, I am helping you my friend, grow some balls, this is way to easy, love you partner and thank you.

  11. Does he want to stay? Why would you want the guy who’s caused this mess over his tenure Back? These so called experts only talk about how well Dubas has done the last couple of seasons but never about his massive screwups since he started. He signed Tavares in 2018 to a huge contract when the Leafs didn’t even need him. What they needed and have for years is solid # 1 D man. He had the chance the Fall of 2018 and he blew that too. Now 5 years later the Leafs D were the 2nd worst team in the NHL for turnovers in their own end. Look at the teams in the semis now and their Defence. You bring Dubas back it’ll be same old same old.

  12. I thought we all agreed if they failed again he was gone. Why is this a question again lmao.

  13. Disgraceful for Dubas to bring up family. Don't break the fourth wall and make things personal. Second, if the Leafs made the finals, you wouldn't bring up family, you'd sit there with your arms folded like "who doubted me?" What you should've said, if you're going that route, is the team's results don't justify the stress on your family. That it's been a bad return on investment. Then you'd have to consider who built the team.

  14. I disagree – no issue with a “take the weekend to think it over” – if we don’t hear by Tuesday then I think it’s safe to say change is coming

  15. Why is everyone waiting as if it's all up to Kyle Dubas?
He's a failure as a GM. His track record proves it. Firing him is the only option.
An overhaul of the roster is in order. Why would this task be given to the guy who's still in love with his core four?
The club needs to go in a new direction with a truly competent and savvy GM making those decisions.

  16. Let him go. I’m sorry, but that whole “it’s been hard on my family” but was weak. No doubt there are tools out there, but when you are in pro sports and being paid in such a market, tough talk from fans comes with the territory. Im not saying it’s right, but neither is using it repeatedly after such another bad playoff result.

Just w😮Sh Leafs brass and players would apologize to the fans for 1- their incredible support and 2- not delivering again.

  17. Why did we not have this conversation when they lost to Montreal. Dubas did everything right except the coaching staff, after the loss to Montreal how could you think this group had what it takes to move forward. Watching Florida play Boston was like watching Montreal play Toronto during the COVID playoffs. Love floridas rough style, unfortunately Toronto would never get away playing like that, Bunting got 3 games for that hit, Bennett drove that rookies head into the ice and got nothing, Bennett jumped McCabe when McCabe had someone on top of him and again nothing, love the style but when Toronto plays tough we get suspended.

  18. What are these guys talking about?? Has Dubas been offered an extension? Isn’t this on the Leafs?

  19. Only in an incompetent organization like The Leafs would there ever be a debate about bringing back a failure GM like Dubas. Every year it's the same story, "We'll give this group one more season and then they'll be changes". Nothing ever changes. Dubas has a horrendous record as GM. Not regular season wins but his actions as GM. Too many to name all be a few of his failures are, overpaying on every contract causing cap issues, losing almost every trade he made, spending and giving away picks to erase mistakes, bringing in defects like Murray, then scrambling this deadline making every ridiculous trade he could to save his job. Now looking for sympathy with his pathetic presser. Worst part is he's getting credit for the first round win even though it was by default. Tampa gave that series away do to exhaustion. The fact Toronto lost 2 games showed just how bad they actually are and Florida confirmed it in round 2. Dubas has to be replaced before it's too late.
