I'm one Ryan McLeod an RFA, 3m by 2 or 4yrs, where Oiler are strap for cash. He was a good 3rd center with size and speed. Not sure of the draft pick that it would cover and slap $1.5 for 1 year at Kostin, they can't both. Kostin can be a depth piece as a physical role player or trade bait if things don't workout. I don't compensation for McLeod, maybe a 3rd, but it will be nothing for Kostin. As for the Oilers they need to wheel a deal to ice a team

Have to admit, Chris, I found your comments on Girard to sound more like a "B" performance than "C+"; perhaps I'm imagining a bigger gap between the definitions of the two grades, or that really, each player starts from a reference point set at 'average for this particular player' and you move from there.
One thing I noticed about Girard – if he makes a mistake, the reactions are out-sized. If any other player makes that same mistake, it's "huh what happened there" or "that's unfortunate". It's like some kind of confirmation bias has formed around him.
Great game 1 yesterday. Bobrovsky finally plays like a $10M goalie. Highly entertaining game. Watching the last 2 podcasts, seems it will be forbidden for the Avs to get someone who is not a free agent. You look for a winger, Athanasiou, agree with Kyle on Sundqvist, what about Evander Kane? To Girard, praise him and trade him!

There is only one Right Winger I'm interested in seeing on the Avs: Phil the Thrill Kessel! Because it would be absolutely hilarious to see him, who is notorious for having the diet of a raccoon on the same team as MacKinnon, who's just as infamous for his strict dietary regimen.
On a more serious note, having Donskoi back would be nice, I always liked him as long as he's not injured. Dadonov would be good too, but one that isn't getting a lot of notice is DU's own Troy Terry who could be an excellent project player and he's dirt cheap.
I rated Sammy a C. I love him but like Chris said he was just okay for much of the season. He's just a good, decent defenseman.
