  1. End of our Woke Puck Era

    Our national nightmare is over

Mr. Shanahan, tear down this wall

No personal attacks, people have families to take care of. But my overall criticisms stand as outlined

The Liberalization of our great hockey club is unacceptable.

  2. The most wonderful thing that could ever happen would be for Kyle Dubas to return with another team and knock off the Leafs in the playoffs! 🤣😂🤣🍁🍁💙🤡🤡🤡

  3. Dubas ‘playing hard to get’ in the season ending news conference backfired. ✔️

  4. Dubas was on board with this. Reminds me of when Paul Maurice realized the Winnipeg Jets quit on him and bowed out gracefully to go with a team (Florida) who look like they are gonna win the Stanley Cup.

  5. Trash 🗑️ they should’ve kept him, hope get goes to islanders

  6. He tried but FAILED. The Leafs are NOT a good team. There were far too many cooks trying to run the team and the players under performed. BLOW UP THE TEAM. The curse of Harold Ballard continues.

  7. Leafs fans have too accepting of constant failure. The team has not been in a final since 1967. For one of the richest organizations in sports history, this was unacceptable in the early 2000s, let alone now.

  8. Dubas cultivated a COUNTRY CLUB culture in the dressing room. Why is ShanaPLAN still employed with MLSE. The Toronto centric mainstream media Knighted him and proclaimed the ShanaPLAN BRILLIANT!!! The Leafs have had an abyssmal record with ShanaPLAN. Will we witness ShanaPLAN 2.0?

  9. Oh I missed this. Still waking up from the 4OT win for my Cats. 🙂

  10. What Elliott is saying that he is not saying (obviously doesn’t want to be restricted as a journalist) is that the Leafs Org didn’t respect Dubas request to be able to make the decision with his family.
The ownership and upper exec’s probably put him on the spot and said you have read the contract and make your decision before leaving this room. Awful business handling and extremely poor character from the ownership.
I’ve long said the ownership are the problem in Toronto, and that legacy continues.
I hate this predictable typical business management in private business in Canada. You work for me, therefore I own you!
Meanwhile, in other cities, they bend over backwards to make the team comfortable, to accommodate their needs and their families needs. If Ovechkin or Nischushkin were on the Leafs, Leafs management (ownership) would probably threaten their job if they left to go pay their respects to their loved ones.

  11. He put all pieces together for leaf to win the cup, but leafs can’t win and they will not win cup in coming years, he tried his best but the star players chock up every year, I’m glad he is out good for him

  12. This should NOT be about Kyle's family related decisions. It's PURELY about results in the role that he served. Stop with this nonsense narrative to help Kyle save face, what the media personalities don't want to burn bridges with Kyle incase he shows up somewhere else and they can leverage their good report with him there… this narrative is just plain stupid.

  13. Kaboom. Leafs into rebuild mode. Top down remake and…….another 20 years to get back to round 2.

  14. K so Dubas is gone, but if the core 4 is broken up that will greatly affect the teams overall chemistry.

    Just sayin.

  15. Wouldn't be surprised if Dubas gets a job elsewhere after some time off and ends up winning a Cup. I mean it happened with Alex Anthopoulos with the Jays and Braves. AA basically emptied the clip with the 2015 Jays at the trade deadline and created arguably the greatest Jays team since the WS winning teams of the early 90s. Couldn't get over the hump post season (not because they didn't perform, they did, but they ran into a generationally good KC Royals team – the ALCS was the real World Series, once past the Jays, they steamrolled the NL representing Mets), then took some time off, taking a "consulting" job with the Dodgers, then pounched on the opening in Atlanta and a just few years later, while fielding an inferior team to the Jays (Jays swept the season series against them that year), squeak into the post season with the worst record of any team left standing and go on a hot streak to win it all. I'm actually half expecting this to happen lol it sux to be a Leafs fan…

  16. Kyle Dubas is Brendan Shanahan’s scapegoat. Wasn’t the Core 4 part of the Shana-plan? Isn’t Shanahan the one who made the final decisions about players’ trades/acquisitions?

  17. Look at me. I am the gm now

    Firing squad for dubas
    Firing squad for keefe
Ransom negotiations for 1 or 2 SOFT scoring superstars in exchange for players who fit a more defensively minded system built for playoff success.

  18. Dubas is clearly being scapegoated, no GM makes 100% perfect decisions and most of his have actually worked out, Keefe is probably the next to get axed, a lot of people want Marner and Nylander (and their 186 regular season points) out the door, yes, the players have often failed in the playoffs but at times have played quite well, it's just there have been too many disappearing acts in series clinching games, I wish Dubas and his family well and look for the Leafs to take a step back next year

  19. Dubus should never see the inside of an NHL arena ever again! All those wasted years as we watch a guy NEVER lean on the job! Talk about a YOUNG, STUBBORN no talent GM! Look at the state of this team! almost zero of his draft picks are on this team in ALL the years he was here. He built NOTHING. Now having said that we really don't know what kind of latitude he had, so the next guy needs to be well seasoned and have ALL the power. And PLEASE don't hire Hayley Wickenheiser as GM! Hire someone with YEARS and YEARS of NHL experience as GM.

  20. I can't imagine any team, even pee-wee, hiring Dubas as a manager let alone as a stick boy…

  21. Would have liked to see Dubas stay and Keefe "part ways". Keefe probably gone within 24 hours.

  22. Too many cuties and not enough hard workers on the team
