Happy for Hoglander. I’ve always believed in his quality. Hopefully he comes through this season.
good god, what he really needs is a god damn shooting coach.
He has hands of stone and always shoots smack dab into the goaltender’s chest.
If Hoglander had not come to NA until last season, he’d likely be a very highly touted prospect based on his performace in the AHL. He’s still only 22.
It sounds silly because it is silly but I nevertheless enjoyed Faber’s take that they should try Boeser at center because he’s more a playmaker these days.
During the final game of the season the team coughed up yet another 3 goal lead against the Coyotes no less so my expectations for the team are super low. So if the team might suck anyways I’d love to see a Boeser experiment giving him a shot at 3rd line center to just… see if he can make it work. I don’t think he likes being second fiddle being Kuzmenko so he might like the change.
It’s not going to happen of course but it might make a good off-season conversation. In fact his agent might insist on not trying that experiment.
But my take is Boeser always has major between the ears stuff going on and that if he got a shot at center in training camp that would really keep his focus on hockey and might refresh his career to a new identity. I think Linden shifted to center around Boeser’s age. Not sure.
How far away is Raty?
Hogs has heart and unlike most small guys he’s built like a shit brickhouse. He’s stronger on his skates than Petey is, by a country mile. I love Hogs and I really believe in his top 6 upside. I have no reason to believe he can’t thrive if under the right coach.
I don’t like Allvin throwing Boudreau under the bus here. Cause Hogs looked great under Boudreau to end last season. The whole team looked great under Boudreau to end last season. So this idea that his confidence was lost before the coaching change sounds like throwing Boudreau under the bus when it’s not needed or true.
