The Leafs need a complete overhaul from top to bottom! The core 4 just aren't tough enough. There's a need for forwards willing to get involved with fore checking.
former Calgary GM Brad T is definitely not the answer….his teams went nowhere fast just like the Leafs….bad bad idea….Leafs are going from bad to worse….what a joke….hire Hunter and get rid of Shanny….if you think 100lb finesse players will do it in the playoffs then your crazy….the top 4 players would not crack an egg during a game and never find themselves in a corner….what a joke ….Dubas should not have been allowed a free rein and Shanny is solely responsible for allowing it to happen…..

Glad that Dubas is gone. Leafs need more testosterone in the front office and on the bench who can change the soft culture and comfortability that the Leafs had. No more music during practice, no more purses as part of game day outfits, no more Mickey Mouse shirts from Marner. I expect pure professionalism and accountability when the coach needs to call out players, he doesn't have to retract what was said so it doesn't hurt the player's feelings. If the prima donnas don't like what the new management will have in store, they can go right out the door and no one will shed a tear

IF ShanaPLAN Shanahan was prepared to offer Dubas was a new contract, does that mean he had "bite" and was "willing to make tough decisions"? If Dubas didn't posess those skills, why was he so willing to resign him??? And, what has Treliving done that inspires the "brilliant" Shanahan? Was it seeing Tkachuk and Goudreau leave? Perhaps it was Treliving's wonderful loooong term, verrry expensive contracts for 30 year-olds Kadri and Huberdeau. The contracts were excellent FOR HUBERDEAU and KADRI!!!! If a dumbass like me can predict Dubas and Mathews leaving back in November, surely "experts" on your show should have known…no? I also predicted the Leafs (under the eagle eye of the wizzard ShanaPLAN Shanahan) would go into a tail-spin and begin a ShanaPLAN 2.0. Effectively, he squandered their window of opportunity but as the Grandmaster, he can lay the blame on anyone…including Coaches in the Manures.
Kyle Dubis should only be allowed to work in a minor league team, to match his mental development.

All the leafs fans criticizing their former GM, current coach, their 4 core and current team will look so clownish if and when 20 years later this playoff would still be the peak of leafs success.
And all the named above would be long gone due to current events and feedback from fans and management.
So for all my fellow Leafs fans screaming to blow up the core I'll ask you this; Should Boston blow up their roster? They lost in round one! Do the Bruins suck? Should Carolina blow up their roster? They are currently down 0-2 on home ice! Do they suck? The answer is NO. Florida is the RED HOT playoff team of 2023 riding a RED HOT goaltender. They appear Stanley Cup bound. And if that comes to fruition, that no other team could beat them why should the Leafs blow up their roster? In 2022 the Leafs were put out by a Stanley Cup Finalist. In 2021 in Game #1 they suffered an injury to Tavares which upset the cart in that series. Prior to that we could argue that the core was young, inexperienced and just cutting their teeth. It took Alex Ovechkin over a decade to win a cup after all. Does he suck too? Some star players never win cups. I am in favour of keeping the team intact and let the chips fall where they may. Only 1 of 32 teams can win it all. Its not easy. The Leafs had 115 pts in Reg season and made the final 7. 79% of the league exited before they did. Not a cup, but overall a successful season.
Who does Pittsburgh need to get permission from to talk to Dubas? His wife and family? They've already been talking – stop the suspense.
