If they trade Matthews we can end up taking a step back and missing the playoffs then it will be more bad and worse then not making out of the 1st or 2nd rd.
Trade Marner for a real number one D. Trade Nylander for a tougher forward, like Tom Wilson. Sign Bertuzzi.

I truely believe that if the Leafs got Fleury last year they would have at least made it to the third round.
Shanahan will have to step in as acting GM. In one month, we have the NHL Draft, 10 Leaf UFA's can start to negotiate with other teams, Mitch and Auston have "No move" clauses that kick in, and a decision about Sheldon's future has to be made.
