I definitely dont think the league is rigged. Those people need to get their heads out of their own ass and learn some common sense. It would make absolutely no sense to force the Canadian teams out, especially the Leafs who are the biggest market in the NHL. Just a bunch of whiny dumb dumbs. However the reffing in the NHL is absolutely atrocious. Has to be the worst of all the major sports.

I hate to be overly dramatic, but for me hockey is a cultural thing. My grandfather played, my father played, I grew up playing, I lived my life in my small-town Canadian rink and the game means everything to me. People will say oh boo hoo, get over it, your country can't put together a good team. But to some people it's more than just some dumb sport, it's part of our heritage. And of course Bettman is salivating at having 4 cities that have never seen snow, 4 cities where 1% of the population even knows they have a hockey team, and a chance to "grow the game" but for people like me it is 30 years of heartbreak. These southern cities have Stanley Cup parades and people hardly notice because baseball is on.

Gary got new US markets interested in hockey and good for him. Unfortunately, he will lose some fans. I used to be a diehard fan, but I'm done. Even if Canada wins 3 cups in a row, I'm done. It's just too late. The game just isn't fun anymore. It feels so scripted and controlled. Maybe I am just old, but the playoff hockey in the 80s and 90s was so much more fun to watch. To each their own.

Why does anyone care if a Canadian team wins a Cup? I don't root for Canadians just because they're a Canadian team. I don't care. At least half the players on any team are Canadian so we win the Cup every year anyway. When my team is out I root for players I want to win the Cup.

Garland should replace Bunting, he is a 5 on 5 maestro, and he is a rat that doesn't cross the line and refs don't hate him and he doesn't embellish. He won't hurt you. He does get rubbed out along the boards, but he also throws tons of hits, and there is literally no chance he hits the average guy in the head unless his target is bent over.

Any goalie could of brought the oilers to the playoffs with this power play and offensive talent, but playoffs are a different game and intensity that Skinner wasn't ready for. Just my opinion
