Shanahan should be fired for even thinking about bringing Dubas back. They’ve both failed miserably there. Why should Shanahan get a pass? The big mistake goes back to Lou being let go in the first place. The second mistake happened when they signed Tavares over a kid in a blanket picture, and screwed themselves cap wise for over half a decade. The other mistakes took place when they got held hostage by Marner and Nylander, and then just gave them both the world, and more! Lou would have never gotten take to school by those two players like that. Everyone is now saying to trade Marner, but what are you going to get for a munchkin on a huge overpriced deal who disappears every playoffs?

I dont think the trade was that bad for the flames. They received good players. The contracts they gave after was not so good and that was the problem with Treliving. He gave out some contracts and then did not give out a contract to chuckie when he could have locked him down earlier. If Florida win the cup then Huberdeau better play good next year as he should feel embarrassed.
