I was curious how everyone did based on home/away and then in the different jersey we had. Obviously points and stats like this alone don’t tell the full story of a player or game so it is what it is and let me have fun.
Notes:
-Smaller sample size on Goatheads (12 games) and Reverse Retros (7, 4 home + 3 away) so big variances there make sense.
-This is mostly forwards since the defensemen outside of Dahlin had stats that didn’t flow well for this.
-Send the Reverse Retro jerseys into the sun
Standout stats:
-Hinnestroza gets evil in the Goatheads with 317% more points per game than his average (sample size 3 games). Followed by Cozens, Quinn, then Olofsson.
-On the flip, Hinne had zero points in the Reverse Retros (also 3). Olof and Mittens are the only ones who had better than average stats in the RRs.
-Tage was shockingly the only player who had less that average points per game in the Goatheads.
-If you averaged Cozens at 1.5 PPG and Skinner .73 GPG Goathead stats across the season, that average would put both of them in the top 130 in NHL history. (Gretzky 2.77 PPG and 1.18 GPG, both 1983-84 are the records)
-Dahlin 1.0 APG Goathead stats across a season would tie him for 83rd best APG season in NHL history. (Gretzky has the top 7 APG seasons from 2.04 to 1.53)

You should see how home game stats differ based on day of the week. I am guessing a lot of our goathead success was from playing for packed crowds on the weekend. The worst game they had in it was the rescheduled Tuesday game against the Flyers.
