  1. I disagree. The guy is overpaid. Why would a rebuilding sign a guy who just wants to get paid and is old?

  2. As he mentioned, his experience can teach our WR's stuff coaches can't so, we get a two-for-deal. If it just costs us minimal $$ and no draft picks…let's win NOW! He's just 31 not 35, Bear Claw fans.

  3. Ryan Pace would go Hopkins, Ryan Poles won't. I don't trust his ability to stay on the field, put that with his expected price tag….pass

  4. Glad someone sees it. No reason not to do it if he's remotely interested. You have the money. Spend it. It's not going to edge rusher apparently. The most important thing is Fields. You need to know and give him every chance. Why not go get a guy who can help him and help you?

  5. Damn the bears could pick him up and have him take claypool spot and help fields learn a bit. Trade claypool for a third rounder but I think claypool will be good but if you can get hooking to teach these guys as well like mooney but shit we could keep all 3 our top guys and get Hopkins and have dudes rotate. Teach ckayoool and mooney and even dj moore but help fields a lot I’m sure. Bears would be stacked on offense

  6. Damn imagine bears get Hopkins and than claypool can play tight end sometimes and they can also have a fresh body at all times having claypool and mooney switch off series or whoever’s got the hot hand and play Hopkins and moore on the outside and than just get rid of st brown all together. Imagine moore on the left side Hopkins on the right side mooney in the slot and than claypool at tight end and having all them options and when we don’t have a running back have 2 tight ends so have a real tight end and jave claypool as the second tight end have 5 options for fields to throw to that would be pretty unstoppable cause fields can run as well so he would have an open whole side of the field to run to as well. That would be nuts if they got Hopkins and moved claypool to tight end he’s the size of tight ends but quicker and better hands. They better do that ish that would be damn near unstoppable

  7. I say bring in DeAndre Hopkins he'd be a great addition for the young guys I think he would just make the receiver corps whole lot better

  8. I don't see it happening. You have moore, Claypool, mooney, Scott, velus plus some possible udfas that have chance at the 6th spot. Whether they do it or not our wr room is loaded this year

  9. Hurts had about 1000 yards more passing in his second season than fields. Hurts is not the second best QB in the league. He was a very good QB on the most talented roster in the league with the best Oline in the league and a ton of weapons. He’s awesome but come on. Allen is probably still number 2, Lawrence looks like he’s gonna be a star, Burrow is scary and his line got better, and Herbert might be the best, he lost a lot of players last year, and his numbers were insane, he could also use an offense more tailored to him. He’s probably the number 2 but it’s a tight competition for sure.

  10. There's no way Hopkins is coming to the Bears. He doesn't fit the age, or wage, profile. It'd be nice though.

  11. There ain’t a chance in heII of D Hop coming to the Bears but dam Clay is so right. Yeah it’s good to have a young team but you do need “KEY” vets in a locker room. Key meaning vets that are professional and willing to help younger players. Idk if D Hop is that but it would be nice to get someone who was.

  12. He's 30. Ryan Poles don't get down like that yet. 26 and below. We're not there yet. When the bears become a playoff team then he'll make moves like this.

  13. Not a good move , he's an elite wr but his health stays in question. Too much money for a what if

  14. We won’t get Hopkins. We are the bears FOREVER REBUILDING! The never ending story line.

  15. It doesn't make sense to bring in a 30 year old vet to a team that's rebuilding.

  16. I’m not so sure D Hop would be happy playing with a QB who can’t read defenses & throws for 2500 yards in a season.

  17. The Bears are tops in the NFC with Dhop. Really better than the Eagles or the 49'rs, that's really funny. Hopkins never mentioned the Bears in the teams he would be interested in. All I'm hearing is wishing and hoping.

  18. The Bears wouldn't be top 5 if they bring in Dhop… they would he the number 1 receiving core in the league. Hell, without Dhop, the bears are top 8.

  19. Let's all grow up here. First of all the Bears are rebuilding, not a championship team yet. D. Hopkins will probably be looking for a team that will get him a ring… that's not us! Second, if you watch Poles personnel decisions, he's not in any.. let me repeat that, ANY rush to add pieces now. He's playing the long game. Finally third, D.J. us our number 1. Poles brought him in for that purpose only. Not to be a number two WR. If you need more evidence of Poles thinking on the matter, look how he's handling the pass rush. He's methodical. Watching to see who really wants it or not. Also giving players a chance to see if they fit in our system before he signs them to a long term contract. Plus since we haven't had a good GM before, we don't know how they think or work. Watch Howie from the Eagles. He's sly like a snake.
