Worse move for the sens was trading Zibby and moving the 2014 1st for Bobby Ryan (Pastrnak or Point were available) sens reached on Zibby who was a riser as well.

Every GM in the league makes a bad trade now and then but those are some dandys. Toronto drafted Conner Verhaeghe and never played him.
What’s your thoughts on the Leafs thinking of putting Hayley Wickenheiser at the top. Heard rumours about it. Rumblings that they are talking to her about the potential job or sharing the job. Who she would share it with, I haven’t heard. Lots of people thinking that this would make them look like a very progressive thinking club and take the heat off what just happened

Trading Kadri was a horrible move, and an indicator of what was wrong with Dubas.
Kadri was undisciplined, a loose cannon. Got suspended twice in the playoffs, so Dubas got rid of him (for a lousy return).
How many times has Brad Marchand been suspended? He’s been suspended more often, and for worse things (multiple slewfoots, spearing a guy in the balls etc) than Kadri. Did the Bruins trade him out of town? No, they put him on their top line.
Tom Wilson has been suspended more often than Naz, including in the playoffs. Did the Caps trade him away? No, they put him on their top line.
Marchand won a Cup.
Wilson won a Cup.
And Kadri won a Cup…..after he was traded to Colorado
Leafs meanwhile have won just one playoff round in five years, and were consistently manhandled and abused by their opposition.

There have been a number of bad decisions made by Dubas. I stated from Day 1 that a storied franchise like Toronto should only be hiring top name management because anything less will only continue the futility streak. They have the resources to hire the right people, but instead they made a brutal mistake by "doing something different" when they turned to analytics over hockey experience.
Not much of a difference between Bunting and Hyman…except $3 million cheaper.

I am happy that you are getting as many views on your channel as you are. It is further testament that you are appealing to a younger crowd who, like YOU can very little knowledge of hockey. Sorry for being a boomer bigot, but if you haven't watched and studied hockey for a least 50 years, your knowledge base is simply not deep enough. The NHL was a completely different game prior to 1968 and if you were not watching it live back then, then you were not really watching it.
1) Missed a brutal one, last year's draft Ottawa has deal agreed to to send Murray out along with 7th overall pick to get team to take him and retain 50% of salary. Murray vetoed trade and now Ottawa is desperate, any other team now has more leverage to get even better deal to take on Murray if they are on his list, in steps Dubas to somehow get a way worse deal, they retain less salary and Dubas gets no extra value when a week ago they were gonna add the 7th overall pick in and take back pick in later half of first round. Think about how bad at negotiation you actually have to be to get a worse deal after player invokes no trade and your team is on his list to anyone defending Dubas performance. Think long and hard about how dim witted you half to be.

– Botched the hell out of the contract for Nylander and the overpaid Marner and Matthews and now they'll want insane money (after Tavares signed, that should've been the most anyone got), Nylander should've been traded when it became clear he was going to sit out.
– Traded Carter Vergaege for Grabner.
– Hired Sheldon Keefe to replace Babock so kids on team all got a buddy as their coach and got to not be held accountable, Keefe got outcoached every playoff series.
– They traded away Sandin for a guy they didn't even play !!! After years of him being untouchable while other teams wanted him.
– first 4 years he built rosters with all one type of player- doomed to fail in playoffs and we all knew it, but him. He traded away all prospects and btw tried to trade away Knies for Flower and had to be stopped.
– Yeah trading for Foligno was awful. Yeah Marchment trade was bad.
– Kadri trade wasn't good, I did understand the pressure to fix the issue, but he went and did great after so.

all this input shows clearly the guy was a bust of a gm. the leafs are now in a huge hole. with hardly any cap space with 40% of it spent on four underperforming players in the playoffs. and very limited draft picks used up from poor trades
