  1. Last year Kings won game 1 Oilers won game 2 and game 3 Kings won game 4 and 5 and Oilers won game 6 and 7.

  2. I didn’t know having a 886 Save % was playing good. Skinner is a liability for Edmonton and it was proven tonight.

  3. And I had a lot of people attacking me in the comments yesterday for suggesting the kings could win… unneeded guys!

  4. This is exactly the same as last year, the King won 4-3 on a late collapse from Edmonton. So Edmonton in 7

  5. What a disappointing 3rd period by the Oilers.

This game was ruined by Bouchard's terrible crosscheck/high stick when he hit Moore with 2min left up 3-2. Like just throw a clean hit and don't push your stick into his face. Not hard.

It's only 1 game and it's not the end of the world. I expect them to play like they did in the first half of game 1 and take fewer dumb penalties.

  6. Gavrikov was a beast last night. Kopi had 4 pts. McD -2 but still a menace. Fiala and Vilardi out last night. I'm beginning to like LA's chances if they can stay out of the sin bin.

  7. Byfield with more points than McDavid, don't think anyone had that on the bingo card

  8. Oilers fans are the worst in the league so no surprise that they trash their own building.

  9. Really hope the oilers step it up. That was a game they should have won easily especially after the great first 2 periods they had.

  10. Kempe is a beauty. I remember just a few years ago people weren't sure if he was going to be good. Gotta love it. Byfield looked great in that game as well. He only had one point, but he drew 2 penalties, and he made a lot of big plays.

  11. The announcers were insufferable last night. We get it the Oilers are exciting to watch but at least try to be unbiased.

  12. The high stick was so obvious that it didn't even make the extended highlight package. You KNOW it's blatant when that happens.

  13. The people throwing stuff on the ice for a PENELTY is ridiculous, those people should be thrown out and receive some kind of ban, games not even over it's not needed

  14. As a Kings fan, I have to acknowledge that the Oilers are probably the better squad, especially with Vilardi and Fiala out, but this Kings team has shown over and over that they do not hang their heads when they get down. Anyone who thought the Kings would be a pushover was fooling themselves. If the Kings can hang on long enough to allow Vilardi and Fiala to come back, they're as good as anyone in the west.

  15. if the Oilers would be a little humble and just play the game, they might be ok, that's a difference between these two teams, and that's because the Kings are still missing two key players. I hope Fiala comes healthy at some point in this series

  16. I could barely watch this game, the camera guy was on meth or something. Wild swings chasing the puck and constant zooming in and out. Why can’t they just leave the TV picture squared up with the net AND the blue line at all times?! Infuriating.

  17. Kopitar has to be the first star to me, he played well all night. Maybe take Byfield off of that top line too.

  18. the GOAT— Bouchard…..that cross check with UNDER TWO mins left………and yr ahead…. 100 % indefence able!!!!!!! only the fact he scored goal # 2 keeps him in the line up

  19. It was strange not seeing Quick in goal for a playoff game – Korpi was a beast in goal and I think he’s our guy going forward

Adrian Kempe continues to be unstoppable. I don't remember the last time the Kings had a 40+ goal scorer. Quintin Byfield continues to improve each day. Lastly, watching the game on ESPN was brutal, couldn't stand those announcers as they were cheering for Connor McDavid & the Oilers.

    What a win last night #gokingsgo #GKG

  20. full cred to L A ! Noat that…………Oilrs played at about 70 % efficiency ! Mc Draisaitl did his job>>> Mc Saviour did not

  21. You are right, I stopped watching the game because the Oilers was ahead and am shocked they lost.

  22. All these comments 🤣🤣. It’s 1 game. Oilers needed a wake up call after that streak, and got it. 5 on 5 this game wasn’t even close and with less penalties next game let’s see the outcome.

  23. The Oilers beat themselves. Oilers are obviously the better team they just got sloppy and got some sloppy penalties.

  24. Realize that you are crazy busy but that review was a C-, at best.

Some games deserve more, eh? Or perhaps I'm just being selfish/petulant.

As you're aware this is a repeat of last year's matchup and there were some dynamic plays/players that you decided not to remark on. E.g. Gavrikov's beautiful layout/poke "save" / blocked a pass in tight on goalie which immediately lead to LA going the other way and Kempe's pee wee like backhanded/shovelling shot goal at the other end. Ah, leave it at that, for I'm being petulant and you are obviously out of your mind busy.

  25. The Oiler's worst enemy is THEMSELVES.
Get in their heads and they begin to loose their s#it.

Going to be some great playoff hockey this year!

  26. With all due respect to the Vancouver fans, I think the expectations in Edmonton are on a somewhat different scale. (Not that I condone the debris-throwing, of course.)

I guess I have to give McLellan credit for keeping the team in check in the game in LA two weeks ago, when the crowd wanted MacDavid's blood for that (IMO) dirty hit that injured Mikey Anderson. Cost the Kings the game, may have cost them home ice and definitely made them look weak…but there's an argument to save it for the playoffs.

If we get Fiala/Vilardi back soon, we might have something going after all.
