Am I the only person who doesn’t want Miller traded?
I’m not understanding why people want to move a PPG player.

Summary for those who can’t listen to the full interview:
    – Spoke about the Leafs/Treliving for a bit
    – He believes it makes sense that the salary cap should be going up 3-4M, but a decision from the NHL might not be coming soon
    – He thinks there is a path for a team to take Miller before July 1st, especially a contending team that considers him a 85-90pts centre.
    – Doesn’t think teams would pay a premium after taking on that contract (the Canucks were asking for two 1st rounders at the TDL).
    – He doesn’t think anyone in this “shitty” free agents class is even close to what Miller is and could be the “perfect storm” for the Canucks to trade him to a contender. Last year there were big names and big dollars on the market.
    – He doesn’t think Canucks should move the 11OA pick, he says moving it for “immediate gratification” would set the team back because this is an historically deep draft.
    – He thinks someone out there in the league is definitely convincing themselves they can be next year’s Florida Panthers by sneaking in the playoffs
    – He says there is no quick fix for this team unless they completely rebuild the D core in one summer
    – Doesn’t think OEL buyout is happening because it’s too punitive and too long. You only get immediate gratification for next year, they should wait it out as long as possible and hope in the meantime he bounces back

Miller to the Hurricanes makes way too much sense. Their top 5 D is set, North Carolina is a red state, and they need a 90 point centre/winger/PP help. Plus they can easily fit him in their cap.

I love JT and I’d like to keep him, but it makes too much sense.

Sorry folks. Frank doesn’t know what the fuck he’s talking about. Stick to the leafs Frank. Posters here have better inside info on the Canucks.

Would be quite a shakeup to trade Miller. He seems pretty set as part of this Canucks core post-Horvat. Would be another fairly big culture change. If the return benefits us in the long run tho…

Miller has been playing great but I still think you should move him if you can get a first rounder plus other assets. Another high pick and some cap space would line up a lot better with this core. The 11th pick needs to be absolutely off the table, this draft is too good.

Man. OEL better bounce back. No more broken foot and maybe with Hronek, he can change his style and be a stay at home D and let hronek do his thing

How many different Miller rumours has Seravalli come up with at this point? 7? Pure clickbait.

It doesn’t make any sense to trade Miller for picks or prospects after making the Hronek trade.

Why upgrade the defence only to decimate the forward group? They have picked a direction and they need to stick with it. Flip flopping like that would be the worst thing they could do.

If they can make a really creative trade that sends out Miller and brings in a U25 NHL centre then it could work. But I wouldn’t hold my breath expecting that to happen.
