Corey’s mocks have gotten more accurate year after year and differ quite substantially from his draft rankings(which means they are based way more on what he’s hearing than his own rankings).
Wings walk away with Dvorsky at 9 and benson at 17 here. Which would be unbelievable imo. Love benson at 17 high risk but high reward if he pans out and at 17 a lot easier to justify.
Good read where Corey explains what the wings “type” is and what some of the players at 9 fit that mold.
Haven’t been paying too close attention but is there a reason it seems like Oliver Moore’s stock keeps falling?
That would be a nice haul for the Wings.

Not huge on Dvorksy at 9 but I’m dumber than Pronman.
I feel like if we draft a center, I’m hoping it’s because Steve found a guy that’s even better than Kasper – and I just don’t see how Dvorsky could be that. There’s gotta be a big swing center in that range that could have top end potential – or I’d be looking at pure goal scoring wingers instead.

I think my Leonard dream is dying, but Dvorsky and Benson would be an insane haul. I’d love Willander and Moore based on how this shook out too.

I thought he was potentially gone before 9 based on stuff I’d read a few weeks ago, the mix of options and projections feel wide open
We could get some crazy stuff going out of this year’s off season
God this is such a strong draft, the top 20 is stacked with offensive talent and right handed defensemen. I would give up a lot to get another mid first round pick. Also, idk if this is just me but if I’m yzerman and this is how the draft plays out I’m literally offering my first born child to get in front of Washington to pick Matvei Michkov… in any other draft if he didn’t play in russia this would be the #1 pick.
