I dunno if CapFriendly is up to date but it seems we have 35/50 contracts.
Seems to be a good spot to be with all the young guys cooking.

*sad badger noises* I like him because he’s a Wisconsin Badger (and former teammate of Caufield obviously), but given our contract limit situation? Not remotely surprised. Frankly even if we had tons of open contract slots, I don’t think he would’ve been signed anyway. Probably not a future NHLer in any organization unfortunately.
We drafted him in the 4th round out of high school where he had promising numbers. But at Wisconsin the dude basically plateaued as a freshman. His point totals in order were 15, 7 (Covid shortened season), 13, 15, and 12.
