Man I could have wrote such an obvious story.
No Duboi and Schief is as well for a retool. Dont sleep on just thr goalie. We have some good assets to move to retool this team
Curious on what Hellebuyck will go for on a new contract. Much love for Bucky, but I honestly think continuing him on about $6mil/year is about right. His age is about to start working against him, and he didn’t look spectacular in the playoffs. Folks think he will get $10mil/year, but that would shock me. That said, getting him to a contender for a first rounder and some middle-line players in return would be a decent take since we get nothing if we wait a year
This is the worst idea and I wish the news would stop spreading this narrative.
If we had a mediocre offense, with a retooled and improved defence, we are a contender…
If Bucky were to face 5-10 fewer shots per game and fewer high danger chances, we would be one of the hardest teams to beat in the nhl, even if we did have some less proven players slotted into our forward group.
