  1. I love it when Marco Scandella is a better player on the ice, then a "star" player in the league.

  2. This is how you handle yourself in public. A lesson to the Dopovic camp in tennis.

  3. Pretty much he wanted to be on a stacked team so he didn't have to help a team get good and in the win column. I'm glad this baby is gone

  4. He doesn’t deserve to be in buffalo. He deserves to be on the big stage and his teammates and organization needed to step up and they didn’t. So he will do big things in Vegas and he deserves it.

  5. Lifelong Buffalo fan, Jack made the right choice. The Sabres are an absolute dumpster fire because of the Pegulas and until Terry removes his vastly under qualified wife from her position nothing will change. Jack will win a cup in the next couple years

  6. couldn't believe a Sportsnet guy ( not sure of his name ), talked about Eichel tonight, saying he went #2 to Buffalo, after Auston Matthews, and the other 2 on the panel didn't correct him; Eichel followed McDavid, and Laine followed Matthews.

  7. Every time I see this Eichel guy I think of home alone. Can t Joe peshi just show up for these interviews?

  8. He is such a brat. Fun as hell to see him not making the playoffs AGAIN now with so-called cup contender. Eichel is childish and a fake. He will never win a cup.

  9. I dunno, I feel for Eichel but I keep trying to imagine Joe Sakic doing the same thing to the Nordiques around 1992 or Steve Yzerman doing the same thing to the Red Wings in 90 or Lemieux with the Pens, etc etc etx.

I just come from a different generation. I fully understand and sympathize with Eichel's plight in Buffalo but a lot of great players were on crappy organizations and they stayed the course and became legends because of it.

Buffalo is a bad organization by any standard and a player's career is finite but it would have been nice to see Eichel leading the Sabres deep into the playoffs. As a hockey fan that's why we have respect for guys like Sakic, Yzerman and Lemieux even when they werent on our favorite team.

  10. Eichel has a huge cocaine problem for those that don't know….he's a true cancer in the locker room !!!!!

  11. look coming from a Sabres fan I 100% do not blame him or hate him from trying to get out or get traded! Jack is a special talent but another note we were so bummed that we lost out on the McDavid sweepstakes! So he was our 2nd place trophy… I think the trade was the right move and Tuch And Krebs are happy to be here and now we’re building something again. You can not build and develop young prospects in the NHL with a captain who doesn’t wanna be there🤷🏼‍♂️

  12. how about that eichel move?? i guess maybe there is more to hockey than just talent! doesn't matter how talented a player is, if he or she is a cancer in the locker room, you will be hard pressed to have success!

  13. We liked you until you gave up on us. But guess what, we’re about to have our best season since 2015-16 and we’re on the rise once again. Good luck on doing what you love and getting better, I’m never gonna tell anyone to not do that, but the boos were well deserved.

Edit: and I’d also like to clarify that even though he was injured for the last portion of him being at Buffalo and awaiting a surgery lineup and all that, I get that, but this guy was a complete ball of apathy on Buffalo for at least a year before this whole drama started. Being the first team out of the 2019-20 playoffs on our 50th anniversary year definitely didn’t help. That was also Eichel’s best year on this team. That hurt a lot of the team’s spirits and is part of the reason 2020-21 was such a bad year. But that year probably would’ve been something like 23-26-7 instead of 15-34-7 if Eichel didn’t say “ah frick it all” at the beginning of the season. The losing streak might’ve not been as long if Eichel had tried to pick his team
up and convince the young guns to keep grinding. It wasn’t just his fault, but he was definitely part of the problem.

  14. Thanks Jack. Loving the Tuch Krebs 1st and 2nd return. Enjoy the playoffs this spring!!!!!!!!

  15. I know I'm 5 months late to this, but I have been a Buffalo fan my whole life, and I've always loved Jack and always will say how good of a person he is. I understand why so many other sabres fans are pissed at him right now, but we have to remember how terribly he and the rest of the team were treated for years in Buffalo. We also have to remember that this guy carried our team at many points throughout his career here, and how good he could have been if he was on so many other teams in the league. I do not blame him at all for the way he reacted.

  16. I think Eichel should and could have been more professional when going about this but at the same time it sounds like the environment was making jack loose ganes

  17. I just chuckle that they sucked so bad this year, to the point they didn't make the playoffs…lol.

  18. What a difference between this, and a few months after. We’ll just enjoy these guys who want to play here and can perform like a team. Thanks, pal!

  19. 9 months later and I couldn't be any happier that this spoiled immature brat is gone(see his interview after he returned and we beat LV). We got back an actual leader who loves the franchise as well as a high quality kid in Krebs. Good riddance.

  20. 0:38. If Eichel ever wonders why he's going to be boo'd his whole career in Buffalo. Asked for a trade BEFORE the neck stuff, summer of 2020, 2 years into an 8 year deal. That deal was all about the future, and NOT about what he'd earned here.
