  1. I think its wise to keep Eklund in the SHL for one year. Hes certainly shown flashes of brilliance but I could see him going through inconsistencies or flaming out late in the season if they try to keep him in the NHL.

  2. Ducks most likely won't be a playoff team by I think many are underrating how well they've played. They've outplayed the vast majority of their opponents this year and have very good underlying metrics. They easily could have 8 straight wins right now when you consider their 4 losses prior to their win streak all were by one goal in extra time, and they came back from down 3-0 back to back days to earn a point. Special teams have been great and they're getting offensive production from many of their forwards despite Silfververg, McTavish, Rakell, and Zegras missing multiple games this season. When all of those guys return their offense will be even deadlier

  3. I think Caufield could still turn out to be a goal scoring superstar in a NHL level in a few years.

  4. I don't like how the Sharks management handled the Eklund situation. The whole "play 9 games" thing is really unhealthy for the younger players coming from Europe. It's already a tumultuous thing to move to another country, and with the expecation that you had made the roster and was going to play for the Sharks this year, only for that to be taken away from you and sent back home after having played well must be a heartbreaking feeling for the guy. You could really tell he felt defeated in his interview after the news broke.

They should've either sent him back right after training camp with a clear idea in mind for him to develop another year in Sweden, or let him play this season through because they're that sure he's ready for it. Instead they did a half measure and sent him back right as he was settling in which messes up his year as he now has to re-adjust to his new team in the middle of their season without any training camp and any pre-season games. I'd be hella frustrated too if I was him.

  5. Here’s one since I always miss the community tabs, I’d the max number of teams from the metro make the playoffs (5), which three don’t?

  6. idk why but you and ksi are the only youtubers that i watch every time y’all post

  7. Funny no one talks about Drasiatl. 23 points. 1 more then Conor. Not even mentioned. Right now I would say Drasaitl is the greatest player on the planet. Im just sayin😎

  8. Wow, first time sending a question and making it to the thumbnail!!!

    Thanks!!

Just to clarify, my comment was not meant as a jab to Caufield, I’m a habs fan myself and just wanted your opinion on the situation. Thanks for the answer and keep up the good work, love your content!!!

  9. I think sending Caufield down was a pretty smart move for his development. Do you think Fredrick Anderson’s play will continue? Also, I still think Arizona won the OEL trade because they got Eriksson.

  10. Totally agreed on Caufield. The evironnement in Mtl is awfull for a young guy…they wants to protect him from that as well.

  11. mcdavids goal against the rangers was good but it was an easy goal. the 4 rangers players split and never wanted to challenge him for the puck its was shocking defensive work. the D this year in most teams has been shocking. good goal yes great epic best ever nah not a chance.

  12. Caufield stays in the AHL until he’s ready to cut the crust off his peanut butter and jelly sandwich himself

  13. Eklund just turned 19* I'm hoping that it gives him the drive to come back and find that other gear to make a big splash in the NHL.

  14. Actually i love this idea. Prospects need time to marinate bc if they kept him it's not like they'd be cup contenders anyone so why not plus I think practicing basics and dominating the SHL/AHL etc. Is a huge confidence boost.

  15. The Sharks could've sent Eklund to the Barricuda but since he was 1 game away from paying him the full amount, they decided to go cheap and send him back to Switzerland where the larger ice surface will stunt his development. The Sharks are a notoriously CHEAP organization

  16. For the Sharks-fans, I think the Swedish League ends before the playoff is finished in the NHL.
And (sadly) my team Djurgården isn´t probably going far or even to the playoffs this year, so Eklund might be back in NHL in the end of season.

  17. Svechnikov won't win any major awards? How about the Conn Smythe?
