  1. This was an amazing video. Thank you so much for doing this. Canucks fans have been blessed with sheer undeniable talent throughout the years when it comes to play by play broadcasters.

  2. Love this video and love these guys. Miss Hughson's calls. However I have to say, I hope when I'm 70 watching a version of this in the future it's more than 4 white men at the table, especially in a city like Vancouver. I'm sure it will be.

  3. Hey Sportsnet. This is why these announcers will go down in infamy. BECAUSE THEY WERE HOMERS! Today's version of calling down the middle when the majority of the broadcast is there to hear the excitement in their voices when the home team beats "the bad guys".

  4. Where is Tom Larscheid?! I loved his chemistry to John Shorthouse. I love Jim Hughson and Craig Simpson too!

  5. What a true pleasure it has been to have these great voices narrate the history of the Canucks. We are very spoiled in Vancouver.

  6. Hughson is from Vancouver and loves calling Canucks games. Roger's Sportsnet need to stop blowing the Leafs and let Hughson call his favorite team.

  7. Jim Hughson was good but he doesnt deserve to be #1 guy or be recognized on the same level as Bob Cole or Gary Thorne or Doc . Jim Hughson doesn't even shoe much enthusiasm in calling games anymore …. Shorthouse is way better in the booth than him

  8. One coach of the early Canucks that doesn't get near enough credit is Phil Maloney – he bought the Canucks to their first playoff games and the Canucks under him were very competitive. I would of liked to hear Jim Robson's comments about Maloney.

  9. I hope Jim Hughson is enjoying his retirement! Hockey won’t be the same without hearing his voice!

  10. Such amazing announcers, all three. Wow. Wow. TRULY, I don't believe there are any others in this category! Wish I could hear them all call a Stanley Cup winning game for the Canucks.
