Oh no where’s that dude with SDA in his username?

  3. 12xubywire

Too bad. Had some hope for him in the bottom six.

Fuck way to go Treliving. Shits fucked already!!!

Showed so much promise in that first training camp but kind of stagnated in his development. If the choice is between NA as an AHL guy with callup potential vs home in Russia as a regular on a KHL roster the decision is simple

Shame that him and Robertson couldn’t go through the system together. If I recall correctly it was SDA feeding Robertson on that crazy OHL run ended short by Covid.

It was obvious he was was an NHL long shot at best when he was drafted but to go back to Russia now when they are recruiting anyone with a pulse!?! Shocking decision, he’d better hope he can stick with a team out there or he might be on the frontlines in a year.

    Future Pittsburgh Penguin forward

Another 155 lbs forward that wouldn’t have made it anyway

I’m disappointed but not surprised. He’s been eclipsed by many other forwards on the organizational depth chart.

    Wish him all the best.

And, like that, u/SDAisatorpedo was born.

Guy got a pro contract off of one good pre-season game. Not bad.

What a shame – looked like he was finally coming into his own. Had a stretch early last season with the Marlies where he and Robertson looked like they were developing a nice connection at a pro level.

Non-story lol, guy has skill obviously but didn’t look like he’d ever quite cut it in a meaningful or permanent way. and no he will probably not go to war lol. I’m sure he knows a little more about the situation in Russian than we do so if he was likely to be conscripted he’d probably just stay put.

the flight of talent out of the organization due to the departure of dubas begins

That’s a bit of a shame, he had a good season in the AHL. He was likely to struggle at the next level, so not a huge loss, but I was expecting a single-year contract to see if he could take the next step.

dubas’ draft and develop record is super medium.
