Unless the Cap Fairy magically gives us 10 million extra cap (that no one else gets just us because God knows we need it and no one else does (chortle, snicker)) we can't afford this. It's dollar in / dollar out and position in position out. We can't trade Ceci AND Yamo AND Foegelle to pay for DeBrincat. We would have to replace a 1RD plus a utility winger who's big with ZERO cap left. Sorry, not realistic unless he wants to take a massive pay cut (I don't think his agent can huff enough glue for that to happen). Take care all.

I would be Fun to Get a RW like Debricat but the chances seem lower for EDM to land him are at 10%. Holland knows he will get aggressive but a quiet off-season is probably what were seeing from a stand point of view. Not saying Oilers will run it back like before but changes will need to occur better for next season. I can take a Brown or Hathaway on Market but Debricat sounds like a dream to make it work but let's see what Holland can do.
Everyone keeps saying oilers are going to have a quiet offseason but i thinks it’s going to be the opposite. This is the last season of this oilers core and if they lose will we won’t have Draisaitl and mcdavid in the next 3 years

Big, right shot shut down defenseman who plays with an edge. Someone who won't let opposing players stand around in front of the net getting second and third chances at a loose puck. Someone who will 'ungraciously' put them on their butts. Work on an upgrade at right wing, a player with size and the willingness to back-check. Most important of all is a team-wide commitment to defense. Build your offense off of that. Giving up too many easy goals is what put them out of the playoffs. So, defense, defense, defense!! And then more defense. Rather win games 2-1 than 7-5.
