I just looked and noticed the updated cap hit says the NYR do have 11 mil free space so yeah I'd give them a real good chance of landing PLD.I wouldn't trade K Miller though just no way.
Any media chatter that there are "multiple teams" willing to part with a hefty package for 1 year of a disgruntled PLD: pretty sure those rumours are coming from the Jets in a desperate attempt to drive up the price MTL has to pay.

With about half of the NHL teams that are so tight against the cap, it very well could be a scenario where to expect the unexpected. the teams near the cap floor can only take on so many contracts and AVA’s.

If PLD wants to play for Habs he will have to accept the Habs salary offer which will most likely less than what Suzy is making. Take it or leave it!!!!
Kent Hughes is too smart to get screwed on this deal…..last thing Habs need is for this PLD talk to linger on for years and then sign him when he's older and out of his prime…..if PLD isn't willing to take a team-friendly salary then good riddance!!!
Well, as I reply to this video, wanted to mention it was 4-0 Vegas in Game 2 of the SCF late in period 2 , so, Vegas is looking strong so far. I like what the Habs are doing and i think the Caufield signing was very smart on their part. Adding PLD to the Habs mix would just make the future brighter. Congrats to the Ramparts on their Memorial Cup win and the Ducks for hiring Cronin, a very shrew .savvy hire IMHO. The Colorado Eagles minor league tam were very successful while he was there.
I hope PLD goes long term anywhere but Montreal. I do know that it’s unlikely though.
Is it Official that The Conflict Of Interest of Dubas, is, as I'd guessed, that Pittsburgh and He Had Talks, while He was Under Contract With Toronto and Before Toronto Gave It's Permission? Or, is this not the same/something new?
If that's the potential deal with the Rangers, Jets should take it! It could be helpful to the Rangers if the Jets did a sign & trade. Dubois for 1-year @ 7 or 7.5 million, Jets retain 1.5 million in salary.
Montreal waits a year. PLD to Edmonton, Winnipeg eats half the cap for picks / prospects. Edmonton needs to win now.
