Better value over all to keep Mikola and trade Jones for a couple of high draft choices. We don't need another small playmaking defenseman – we need a big strong defensive defenseman.
I'd take your argument for trading Miller and change it to trading Laffy. There's no path forward to success for him with the Rangers. It would be to his own good to move to a team that would give him the opportunity to develop into the star we all thought he was going to be. Trading him would open the space to keep Tarasenko and Mikola.
I hope we can get wood however I would be willing to sacrifice jones to move up for him
Mikkola was solid. I just hope that we find a way to fit Brennan Othmann in the lineup. I watched him play with the Petes and he's exactly what we need on this team

Why not play Harps? He killed it as a shutdown dman and was a good mentor for Schneids. Mikkola doesn’t hit as much either, but let’s not forget he makes less than half of Mikkola
