  1. Did he jump into the hit? No

Did he hit him late? No, still considered in possession.

Did he hit him so hard that people were emotionally triggered by it and cried until there was action? Yes

Did everyone cave to that opinion, in fears of not fitting in with the popular opinion while looking morally higher than the correct ruling? Yes

  2. Head down and coming around the net to try to score an empty netter, Evans deserved that hit. Also not to mention that was a clean hit and anyone that thinks otherwise is a p*ssy

  3. Sheifele is such a strange person. Won't ever say a swear, but he'll damn near kill a guy for no reason.

    Super classy.

  4. I mean seems like a relatively clean, admittedly quite hard, hit. Looks like the puck was still on the end of the guys stick when contact was made.

  5. Sowas passiert halt wenn man eine dumme Sportart spielt 🤣 die Spieler sind halt primitiv

  6. Scheifele is lucky that it was Toffoli who was closest to him, which was followed up my Weber and Edmundson racing in to join the scrum. If it was Edmundson and Weber closest to Scheifele, he might’ve been taken off on a stretcher as well. Nevertheless, excellent job by Ehlers to protect Evans from the scrum.

  7. Schiffelle skates the full way up the ice going nearly full speed, sees Evans going for the empty net goal and runs right through him without even looking at the puck. Then he just stands on top of him so none of the habs players can do anything to him without hurting Evans more. I could see an argument being made for this being a clean hit if he prevented Evans from scoring but he didn’t even try. It was clear that his only intention was to hurt Evans on this play and I honestly can’t believe people still defend this hit.

  8. It's been a year and Scheifele will for ever be a scumbag after that cheap shot.

  9. Scheifele should not of got suspended for that. We could’ve won the series got to give my respect to Ehlers

  10. Everyone acting like the player was seriously injured, looked alot worse then it was!!🤣

  11. This is when I realized that nobody on the internet knows anything about hockey.

  12. One of the biggest flops in playoff history, dude caught a slight bit of Scheifele's shoulder and acted like he got hit by a missile.

  13. I was horrified by this hit, but:

    (1) Evans had the puck and was trying to score an empty netter. Wouldn't he be fair game to hit?

    (2) I can't tell, but the hit seemed not-dirty or worthy of a penalty. Didn't leave his feet, so no charging, Evans didn't crash into the boards, so no boarding. If you're going to penalize this, you might as well penalize every hit that happens when one player stands still and the other is coming in fast for the hit. Someone please let me know what I'm missing. Maybe it's because it was after the goal? But if so, that was a split second after the goal, not enough time to pull up with a hit that might have made the difference between a goal and a non-goal.

  14. Soft comment section. People watch hockey to see big hits. It’s a clean hit. That dumb kid has to keep his head up.
