@Oilers d'Edmonton

  1. This week Henrik and Daniel will receive the ultimate honor – their respective sweater numbers will be retired. This will be the first time that two sweater numbers will be retired together (to the best of my knowledge) since Syl Apps and Ted "Teeder" Kennedy had their numbers raised to the rafters together in 1993.

  2. I come back every once in awhile just to witness the absolute class. I literally can't deal with this without a tear or two, but it's all in joy.

Thank you Edmonton. Thank you Henrik, and thank you Daniel!

  3. I have the D.Sedin jersey and its a good time to have them on the team! 🙂

  4. This was the night after Humboldt Broncos . I gotta a Canucks jersey with the name Broncos on the back . Thank you Edmonton

  5. Nice gesture by Oilers fans, its nice to know that decency is still present in a world where buffoons like Mike Milbury are propped up.

  6. Now this is total respect buy the Oilers right here even tho the Canucks are our division rivals this is respect right here I'm sure our boys would do this for Calgary and LA

  7. I've always been a die hard canucks fan even though my family is all Oilers fans and all of us were born in Alberta……with out a doubt though pure class shown by Edmonton to two warriors and the best duo that hockey has ever seen…..thank you Danny and thank you hank!! Always canucks!

  8. And how the world has changed… Two years later the Canucks are winning playoff series' in this same building against opponents that are not the Oilers!

  9. As a Canucks fan, I can't stand the Oilers or their fans by proxy. That was one of the classiest things I've ever seen in my life and to all the fans in attendance that night, I have nothing but respect for you and I hope I'm in attendance to send one of your legends off the way you did for ours

  10. This level of class and sportsmanship would never happen in an american city… thankfully the last game was in a Canadian city, thank you Edmonton.

  11. It's nearly impossible to not show some class like this because the Sedins are among the most respectable players in NHL history. However, it must’ve been awkward when they shook hands with Lucic given their rivalries when Lucic was with the Bruins.

  12. They should come back to the NHL and be in Vancouver because I live there and when I saw that I was crying

  13. These two definitely deserved a cup but they are the living example of players who are good enough but just don’t get it in the end. The cup is one of the hardest trophies to earn in sports and these two show that bc I really enjoyed watching them play even against my Wings was always a treat

  14. Great players, but even better people off the ice. I think they combined to donate $6 million to BC Children's Hospital…. plus other countless fundraisers and other support to the community.

  15. God I love Canada. One of the biggest rivalries in hockey, all set aside to honor 2 great players. Very classy Edmonton 🙂

  16. You know you are classy guys when you can take laps and thank the away crowd.

  17. Another 2 great Canucks without a Stanley Cup…Will Vancouver ever win one ?

  18. Could you imagine how that must feel having great careers and being teamates only to retire alongside with your brother that must have been the best feeling

  19. Hockey being such a rough and unforgiving game, true sportsmanship and respect like this just hits you different.
    From fans and players alike.
    A beautiful display.
