  1. Habs fan here: 5th, 31st, Slafkosky and Harris for 2nd. 5th and 31st for 3rd or 4th

  2. Dach and Florida's 1st for Columbus 3rd. The other thing is Montreal has a lot of young Defenseman coming up so their blueline is crowded. Might want to move one of those prospect instead of Florida's pick.

  3. Yeah, that's never going to happen. There's a better chance that the Ducks win the next 5 Cups than there is that they give up Fantilli. And if the Habs did somehow make it happen, they'd be screwing themselves with how much they'd have to give up for him.

  4. Most teams at this time of year will try to move up a few spots at the draft to get a better prospect. So there is nothing unusual hearing about team talking to each other. However, there is a big gap in talent right after the fifth pick. Because of the quality of this coming draft, it will be next to almost impossible for the top 5 teams to trade down since all of them are rebuilding teams trying to get the best prospects available for their futur. Therefore, Montreal has no choice but to take the risk at drafting Michkov with the 5th pick if available; otherwise, it will be quite hard for the fanbase and media to forgive Gorton/Hughes…especially is Michkov shows up in the NHL in 3 years and becomes a superstar!!!

  5. All teams are trying to trade up. No news here unless you start hearing some real reasonable assets that it would take.

  6. Benson or Smith will be just as good. But throw in 16. Done deal. And please Dach sucks. He shoots like a girl.

  7. Alert. Hawks will get 11 . And then trade that and there 24 1ST round pick to Montreal if Mitchov or Carlsson is there. Montreal does not want Mitchov. In all likelihood they stay pat and reach for Rienbacher.

  8. I doubt Montreal gives up what the Ducks would be asking for in regard to the second overall. Like most are saying this draft is very deed and Fantilli isn't your typical 2nd overall pick. The only trading down option that makes sense for Anaheim would be to swap with Columbus. If the Blue Jackets want Fantilli more than Carlson they could also give their other first round pick as well. If that isn't enough one of their better prospects or a second pick next year. Something along those lines, but does Columbus covet Fantilli that much? Carlson is pretty good and most likely will be NHL ready next year or the year after at the latest.

Also, the only way this works is if Anaheim has no problem with Michcov's contract because that would be the only way they would swap. Not to take Carlson but Michkov. Anaheim is still re-building and Columbus is looking for more of a re-tool, so Fantilli might be that dynamic player they want and need. The Ducks won't be a playoff team for a couple more years (or at least a good one) so waiting on Michkov isn't the worst thing they could do.

  9. Monahan, Slafkovski, Anderson, Allen, 5th pick and 30th pick for Number 2 pick and John Gibson

  10. If I am the Ducks, I am asking for : #5, #31 and DACH to start the conversation.

Going to #4 would cost less

  11. Or how about Arizona trades 6 ,12 Cooley and 24 and 25 1st round picks for Bedard. Would you do that ?

  12. Nope not happening!! Thats just absurd for the Ducks… they would never accept that trade.
Edit: the only way the Ducks would trade down is if they are planning to take Michkov and knowing that the other teams aren't taking him. For the Ducks this could be a huge deal if they get a huge package deal and then draft Michkov since they could wait a few years with their young players. But as a habs fan…i'm not sure I would want to pay a hefty price that this would require…i dunno

  13. Everyone tell me your opinion of this proposal trade: Slafkovsky as the main piece(previous years 1st overall pick), 31st overall, Harris, and 2024 2nd round pick.
