@Rangers de New York

[Mollie] Zac Jones à un contrat de deux ans, 800 000 $ le premier et 825 000 $ le second. C’est un accord à sens unique.

    We’re back!? Yes! Also, good signing.

    No complaints here, especially if he graduates to a permanent spot on the team

    IIRC, this comes in less than his QO. Decent bit of business. I think Zac could make an impact under Laviolette.

    Great signing, now fire the mods!

    Kinda surprised to see them actually work on asset management, gotta start developing him if ever do wanna use him cause hes very small so hes gotta find his game in this league to prove he can be one of the guys.

    Really nice. The lack of a puck moving defenseman on the 3rd pair really cost us against the Devils, Gerard gave them a lot of run and they couldn’t execute breakout passes. Nothing against Niko and Schneids, just not their game.

    I’ve watch Zac play once at UMass and twice at Hartford, he has looked better and better every time i’ve seen him. Excited for a full season from him

    I believe he grew up as a Ranger fan so I am glad he’s been re-signed. Given their tight Salary Cap situation, he or Robertson should be getting a real opportunity to be the left defenseman on the Rangers’ third pair.

    Solid decision. He can be great.

  10. excellent deal. his QO was $971k too so this is quite nice. he’s also apparently waivers-eligible too somehow

    now literally all they have to do is just play him and play him a lot. gotta get him a full season with the big club, with at least 16 min a night. NYR needs his puck moving ability more than anything

    Could be that with him signed, he’s easier to trade. Keep it in mind

    I think Zac + Schneids could be a really skilled 3rd pair if they’re allowed to grow together.

    Jones has upside, but for a league min contract, we could have had OEL @ LD3.

    With a short-term coach and an aging core, everyone in here is bumping the prospect when we could have had a TB Dynasty-calibur defensive addition instead.

    That’s not to say Jones won’t be good eventually, but fuck if he’s even close to Ekman-Larsson these next two seasons.
