No surprise that we won’t be re-signing him. Thank you for everything, sweet prince ❤️!
Where does everyone think he’ll end up?
I really enjoyed having Lucic on the team. Other than his awkward contract, it was easy to cheer for him.
Great character, team player, hard worker, and hit like a dump truck.
But as per Conroy’s mission statement, it’s time to give more spots to the young whipper snappers.
Wish him nothing but the best.
I’d love to see him in a Wranglers jersey mentoring the kids, calling him up when there’s injuries. Never going to happen, of course.
But no
Man, this is the end of an era. I would have never guessed Lucic would turn into one of my favourite players.
Best for both parties. Have to believe he’s just ready to get out of Alberta and the team needs to progress with the prospects making the jump to the big leagues.
Other than the cap hit and how he was deployed towards the end (Sutter’s fault obviously), he was good for *and* to us. Wish him luck going forward
Oilers are still paying Neal $1,916,667 for another two years
Gonna miss ya big guy, glad his final goal with us was an absolute snipe top corner and that he found a love for the game again after joining the Flames.
Somehow we won that unwinnable trade. Loooooch
Conroy’s first smart decision as Flames GM, hopefully of many
Looks like Oilers have found a way to keep Lucic away from Calgary, just keep paying Neal!
Wish him luck. Chances are he’s pdo fodder at this point. I can’t see any contender having him in a top 12 role.
He was still a solid nhler a couple seasons ago, but no longer.
