  1. Miller is the one contract I’d really worry about. Sure, trade Garland or Boeser if that’s your only option. But Miller is the contract that’s going to hurt, especially long term. He’s already an 80s throwback. When his offense dries up, I don’t exactly expect him to have a Trottier style transformation into a defensive juggernaut. When he doesn’t have the puck, the only time he tries to get it is in the offensive zone, if that. Once he turns the puck over, he’s a spectator. This team has enough offense. They don’t need rovers. That’s why I want Reinbacher. It’s highly unlikely they get him, so hopefully the target, if BPA is out the window, is a defensive defenseman with at least top 4 upside. No 3rd line centres in the first round. But Miller is the contract that is guaranteed to look awful in a few years. They can’t afford to buy out another player, even if the cap goes up. Once Miller is less than a 60 point player, he’s done. He doesn’t play well enough without the puck to compensate.

  2. At this point if the concessions and janitorial staff don't make a point of suggesting they might be from Pennsylvania they're in danger of being replaced by some imports from the City of Bridges.

  3. I think JT Compher would be a good 3C for us, if he's available i think we should have a look into it. Having said that, i still think a defenceman is a higher priority for us right now.

  4. They really have to look at Miller and his contract. 7-years starting July 1. Are they truly committed to this player for that long and amount of money? In just a few years, I will guarantee there will be talk of another buyout. With all due respect, hard no to Stecher. Local BC boy but what else does he offer the team? We've been down this road before. Decent skater but too small with no offense ability and gets pushed around. We have enough of those players. This team needs size, especially on the back-end. Defense is a priority but let's get real. They can do better via trade or free agency.

  5. Players that don't excite me, for 2000, Alex

A: These over priced and aging UFAs are comparable to players former General Manager, and noted doofus, Jim Benning used to regularly sign on July 1st.
Q: Who are Carson Soucy and Evan Rodrigues?

I'm now having flashbacks of Brandon Sutter, Tucker Poolman, Lucas Sbisa, and Erik Gudbranson. For the love of god, one year deals for all 29-year-old+ bottom six forwards and bottom pair dmen.

  6. Move Myers move him now. For a bag of potato chips. Don’t care how thin we are at defense plus minus. Dude was brutal. I would take a card board cut out of Pam Anderson in a Jersey over him
