Il y aurait un intérêt mutuel entre Connor Hellebuyck et les Devils du New Jersey. NHL Tonight discute à quoi ressemble un échange entre les Devils et les Jets de Winnipeg?
As much as I would CH on the Devils, I think it's better if the Devils stick with what they have for now for a few reasons. The first is the amount of assets that they would have to give up. The second is figuring out if it's worth it to pay a guy in his 30's long term money on an extension. The third is if you acquire Hellebuyck and you keep Schmid, you're stunting Schmid's growth and not allowing him to have a full year of being the #1 guy. Plus, the Golden Knights just proved you could win the Stanley Cup and not pay a goalie so much. You also have to start thinking about extensions for Mercer, Luke Hughes and Nemec and if you sign Hellebuyck to a long term at a high AAV, then it will be much more difficult to keep all those guys long term even with the cap going up. Bottom line, stick with what you have. Schmid and Vitek will prove to be a championship tandem in the long run.
