Why is it a « fumble » if anything it’s great. He doesn’t have to move laughts and teams know that, if this was an offer then there will be more and most likely an even better deal.

  2. MichealangeloRetardo

His biggest fumble was actually by his son

If we’re trading players that don’t fit in our rebuild timeline, Laughton should go- I don’t get how you turn down a 1st and a 2nd for him. Makes no sense.

Danny B gets greedy after Provorov deal. Lol. He won’t get better deal for Laughton than that

  5. TyperMcTyperson

He’s driving up the price on a player he doesn’t really need to move and would still get benefit from staying with the team. Not a fumble at all.

  6. HanSolo5643

I would say so. You aren’t going to get much better than this. This team, if it wants to do a proper rebuild, is going to need all the draft capital possible in order to get back on track.

If we are talking professional fumble, sure. All time fumble, I’d say it was siring his pos son.

  8. JBOJockstrap

No way this trade is real. It’s so bad for the blues

  9. FinkBass420

I don’t understand. He’s not very good lol I would take that trade all day every day. 1st and a 2nd for a 29 year old who’s never had more than 43 points in a season? And has only ever played a full 82 games once? Am I missing something here?

  10. Evija2021

    That’s a whole lotta fists!

  11. grizzmange

I think there’s details omitted from this. It was probably more like a 1st + 2nd + a salary dump player (ie leddy or scandella)

  12. PtAgAu

what if the Blues throw in Jori Lehtera again?

  13. Cautious-Bad662

This doesn’t sound right, what are his reason why he denied the trade? I’m curious

  14. BillsByABillion

If you’re Briere what are you exactly holding out for? A mid 1st? It’s not like he’s Rasmus Ristolainen or something.

  15. GoStlBlues67

Thank god. Philly can keep him. I want our picks.

  16. The_G_89

Common Briere L. First his son, now this.

  17. DanTreview

Oh my god, do it. JFC what am I missing here???

  18. Most_Sort_3638

I don’t get how you can definitively say it’s a bust when we have almost zero details

  19. JoeSchmohawk93

Even if I did think that, I’d wait until pick 24 is on the clock to like, turn it into words

  20. OLPopsAdelphia

    No.

I think Laughton is a great asset and someone who consistently showed up when things were crappy.

He’s not only a good asset, but a great example for you get talent on the team.

  21. ImKryptic94

Must have included a cap dump like Scandella/Leddy otherwise saying no makes no sense

  22. ratzy88

No one in their right mind is offering a 1st and 2nd for Laughton. I bet there was a cup dump like another commenter said

  23. Micksar

We don’t know all the details and he could still trade Laughton for this or a similar or better return. Still 6 days left.

  24. Cappedomnivore

Not if he gets an even better deal 🤷‍♂️
