He’s had 2 seasons with 50 or more points, we’d absolutely be buying at his highest and wouldn’t even be able to retain him after.
The cost isn’t worth one season of hoping he can recreate last year.
For one year at 4.25? Sounds good to me. Just don’t re-sign Tatar. Who cares if he walks after one year if you don’t give up much? Load up! Another 30 goal scorer would look good.
That being said, I’m going to guess Calgary gets a better offer than whatever we’d send over. Nice to think about though.
I can’t see it, I think Fitz is looking at moves that will benefit mid to long term. Unless its a fire sale.
Habs fan coming in peace: he’s a very useful player. His foot speed is probably his weakness but he has a good shot, vision, and a knack around the net. By all accounts also appears very well liked by his teammates. He became part of the leadership group in Montreal very quickly. I don’t know what the cost would be but I love the player.
