Sometimes I think that these guys are content Being Young, Rich, famous and living in New York. It is a character team and I feel like there's not enough ego. These guys identities are not 100% wrapped up in hockey. If you look at the greatest players of all time, they were 100% committed to being a hockey player. I also think that for whatever reason oh, they are more distracted when they are home. Gerard Gallant should put them up in a hotel even when they're in New York City
Also PowerPlay number two has been abysmal. I dread the last minute of our power play

No traffick in front of the net, no physical play, guys gotta get dirty goals, the Rangers are a soft team and they may win tonight and even win this series but they simply do not have the physicality to get past the second round regardless if it the Canes or Islanders, Islanders always beat the Rangers because they push them around and are physical. This roster is not built for a physical grueling run at a cup, you really think this soft group can get by what would be a grueling second round and then beat Boston or Toronto? whom are both big physical teams? I don't see it, the Devils aren't even physical and the Rangers are being shut down by them. This team simply does not have the playoff toughness needed, if they dont score on the power play they are dead meat in playoff games.
The 1%ers are because of all the people saying there is too much east to west. That criticism encourages these crappy shots. The ranger players who are play makers, should be encouraged to play E-W in the offensive zone. That's how they score all their goals.
Also, it may be too late now, but the 2nd PP unit is a joke.

This game tonight will be EPIC!
1) Zone entry has been a real problem. It feels like every time we get to the blue line we start passing the puck side to side instead moving it straight ahead. Especially on the PP gotta do a better job of getting the puck in deep and forechecking to get into our setup.
2) I was all in favor of trading for Kane, but I truly felt the PP was really starting to click with Tarasenko on the first unit before he came over. I know they’re not gonna change it now, but I really like the idea of having another shooting threat on the ice instead of three pass first guys in Fox, Bread, and Kane.
3) I wouldn’t mind seeing the 3rd or 4th line start the game today to set the tone early and come out the gate with some energy.
I’m cautiously optimistic about tonight but I feel like we need to blitz them like we did in the first two games to have our best shot. The pressure is really on now and another tight, low scoring game could end up being a real problem for us. It’s time to leave no doubt who the better team is. LGR!
