Not sure how it would work with their cap, would have to be Byfield and a cap dump like Matt Roy for Willy which I don’t know if I would do
I’d love to have a young guy who can platoon with Tavares as the 2C so he can shift over to the wing eventually. Also would love to buy low on Akil Thomas if possible.
He was literally playing on their first line the last 20 games and was almost a point per game. They obviously see him as a winger.
I’d love Byfield but this doesn’t seem like someone they’ll just dump for scraps?
If I’m the Leafs I’m trading for Lindholm. Make him our 2C, put Tavares to the wing, and add Toffoli in the trade and send Nylander to Calgary
Byfield found the party life and there is a reason he hasn’t been getting many minutes. Of course they want to unload him. Toronto won’t get duped like you geniuses that want to trade Marner or Nylander.

That LA is likely hoping to forward/centre depth that most teams would be envious of? Dude’s angry that they’re building a solid roster.
He’ll cost too much and he probably doesn’t want to play in Canada anyway.. like most players.
I’d take him. He is obviously skilled and underutilized like Lafreniere.
That guy’s stick weirds me out. It’s like he’s playing with one of those kid’s mini sticks. There might be a lot of untapped potential if he can learn to use an adult sized stick.

Wouldn’t Byfield be part of the package going back for Dubois? I’m pretty sure Winnipeg would insist on him being part of the package.
