@Canucks de Vancouver

    2 sounds fine. No more 3 year deals to old vets.

    Ian Cole is a totally fine veteran 3rd pair, PK1 guy. Forborts probably not shaking loose out of Boston, and Soucy is probably getting overpaid.

    I would not be enthused about anything > 2 years, $4M total money. I’d look at Kulikov at 1 year <2M as another value bet. Im also President of the Luke Schenn fan club.

    Always open to get a vet on the blueline but they better spend minimum dollar.

    More duct tape trying to hold this shit together instead of trying to fix the problem. Really jealous of the work Montreal had done since Hughes took over.

    I *really* hope this team didn’t buy out OEL to spend a chunk of that cap space on Ian Cole long-term. Why would this team even contemplate giving a 34-year-old defenseman 3 years?

    It’d be the most Canuck thing ever to re-commit OEL’s cap savings to the defensive equivalents of Beagle/Roussel/Eriksson in free agency.

    Rutherford knows he’s allowed to sign players that didn’t play for him in Pittsburgh right?

    Doesn’t this team ever learn?

    No, we don’t need this guy in the locker room.

    At minimum he’s a complete sleazebag. Some of the other allegations out there suggest he may have gone beyond that.

    Soucy isn’t signing in Seattle…..

    Getting bear in once Myers has half retained at the deadline could be great timing.

    Shitheel of a human, decently capable 3rd pairing guy. Don’t really want to sign a 34-year-old guy to a multi-year deal, but it’s the Canucks so I’m sure that happens for more money than it should.

    If all the talk about Coles off ice problems are true we certainly dont need that on our team. Did they learn nothing from the Jake fiasco?

    Smart move. Buy out a slow, aging veteran defenseman in order to sign an even slower, older defenseman
