  1. Very nervous about this trade. Loved Iaffalo and Vilardi. $8.5 million is a lot but he can be worth it with like a 70 pt season. Not a bust, but a lot has to go right for it to be a win. Terrible deal if this prevents us from signing/acquiring a goaltender.

  2. So is Byfield pretty much a winger now or is he gonna play 6 minutes a night as the 4th line center

  3. LAK is preparing for life post Kopi and DD retire. Management's mentality is win now. More often prospects don't panned out or victims of numbers game so "assets" have to be moved. Blake and Luc better be right in this case.

  4. "He's only 20 years old; things can change for him in the future. As long as he's a productive winger, he'll probably be there for a while."

  5. OK – but Dubois has been a head case for both his previous teams. Demanding trades from two teams is never a good sign.

  6. Top 9 should be formidable. Get that grit on the 4th and a goalie and Go Kings Gooooo

  7. We have so many prospects needing time like chromiak, Fagemo, Pinelli, and Turcotte. Hate to see Vilardi go since we’ve been with him through thick and thin, but this is the very definition of selling high. Vilardi can’t stay healthy. 6 years in and he’s only played 63 games at most. We can’t sign him to a long term contract with that uncertainty.

  8. Blake has a unique ability to sign and trade for guys 24-25 years old. I’d rather him give 8.5 x 8 to a 25 year old than a 28+ year old.

It’s just amazing how much Fiala cost vs. how much PLD cost. Amazing what the market dictates.
