I am so whelmed by this draft. Trusting the Yzerplan though
Wings are going to employ a new strategy of 4d 1f lines.
Could you imagine if the majority of these defensemen actually land? Like we would be loaded lol
If we’re developing a surplus of strong defensemen we could get some real good trades in the future.

Stevie said it himself in an interview yesterday that he’s still focused on building assets, which is thinking ahead as the UFA market next year is gonna be vastly better than this year’s. The theory I’m getting from this draft is I assume Yzerman is gonna leverage the hottest commodity in the NHL (big defensemen) and pick up some firepower on offense next year using the deep pool of defense prospects this franchise has.
