Like the two good sized defensemen we got in the 2nd and 3rd.
Outside of Benson, Strbak is my favorite pick out of our draft. Kid has potential to be a top 4 2-way dman. LOVE that pick!
Two things: I believe Bob McKenzie polls ten or so trusted scouts and averages their responses to make his lists. I could be wrong. Also…I’m wondering your thoughts on GMKA not offering Jost a qualifying offer.

Adams said that the guy they were trying to move back into the 1st for was Wahlberg.
I look at this draft and realize we have a few NCAA guys.. but like always.. Adams does his homework. The % of picks that he gets signed and in the system is much better than most teams. I think this draft, yes like you I would have loved having the multiple first rounders like we’ve had the last few years.. but this year.. we weren’t really sellers… more buyers but not all-out. Just moved some guys for some other guys.. but this year, I think he had another stellar draft. I know I had misgivings about him whe he was hired.. but so far.. he’s proven he’s much better than guys with track records.

I agree Wayne, Goalie Ratzlaff to me seemed like a steal. It was revealed that Adams did try to trade up to get the Wahlberg before they hit the 2nd round. And low and behold….the luck looked his way….twice! Benson and Wahlberg. I watched a channel that was a Mtl fan and they even said they think Buffalo got an A+ on picks.
I'm warming up to Benson. Wanted size and we got some with remaining picks 😎👍🏒

As a Brit I never got the excitement over the draft idea. It seems a bit like picking teams at school and hoping your not left with the fat kid or sport hating kid. 🤔 especially as so many of these guys will never make the team or NHL. Still hopefully these kids turnout to be the 2nd coming of Bobby Orr and Brad Park! 😋

Strbak & Meidema from Kingston of tge OHL who Adams took in the 4th round are fantastic picks , they will be Sabres very soon.

Its 50-50 , with no D upgrade……KA will stand pat or add a marginal Band Aid Okposo/Greenway level of players no one else wanted but us. Stillman etc.
Not enough at all. The loss of Quinn for the year now w/ a serious Achilles injury may open a door for someone looking for a good paying job in Buffalo…..
Put Quinn on LTIR for next year……..
I really liked this draft. Drafted every position, added some much needed size and got a steal in the 1st round. It's up to us to develop these guys now.
Hey Wayne, maybe the people that keep up the foolish thought that Kane would be great in Buffalo will now shut up since they drafted McCarthy! Kane is a liability at best. I still think that Ratzlaff will end up being the best pick in this draft! Go Sabres, go Kevyn Adams!
