Interesting how we’re on the losers list for the the draft and day 1 of free agency, off to a fantastic start I’ll say

Very upsetting to see Soucy and Graves go for what they did and not a peep of us being involved. Hopefully we are still in the mix for a Domi/Bert and see if we can make Dumba work. Otherwise we look alot worse going into next year

yea just remember Treliving literally just got here. We’re in this shithole situation because of Dubas. Let’s wait until training camp until we really grade how this team looks cuz it’s not close to being finished.

He signed Reaves to a nothing contract that can be buried easily because his staff told him the team is quiet so he went and got a big voice in Ryan.

He resigned a good 4th line C for us who has played well for us.

He addressed our lack of offence on the blueline outside of Rielly by adding Klingberg to a non risky one year deal.

And he had three picks in the draft which was prob run by Wes Clark.

I get it wasn’t the flashiest day one of free agency but lets give the man some time before we really grade his work

Folks were saying Vegas were losers last year around this time.

Fact is we won’t know until next year at this time.

The biggest issue for the leafs is Matthews & Nylander next contracts

Forget about FA. Leafs couldn’t make big deals or any deals for impact players without those two figured out

Hopefully, Treliving does a better job at signing leafs stars than Dubas does

Considering how free agent « winners » usually turn out, I’m fine with this. I wish I liked the adds we made a bit more, but nothing done today was detrimental to the future of the team, and not every team can say that about their deals today.

Our bottom six looks weaker. But still a whole offseason to fix that

Leafs are losers because they did not overpay? Bunting, Schenn, Holl and Kerfoot were all overpays. Hell Lou even gave Engvall a 7 year deal. That’s insane.

Honestly… It doesn’t even matter what we do until April. Look at Florida last year. Look at their regular season. Now look at their playoffs. We’ll have who we have, Matthews, Marner and Willy included. They either show up or they don’t.

I will always hold off judgement on an offseason until I see the opening day roster.

ahhh the athletic. Carolina are essentially a dynasty at this point with all their A+ rated drafts and off-season winners proclamations

Lol Leafs the loser today because they didn’t overpay or give players term they can’t get out of.

ROR chose Nashville. Everybody else I was fine walking away from for what they got. Maybe like to keep Acciari, but I get the sense a lot of these American born players just wanted to go back to the U.S.

I really do not hate the idea, for this year particularly, signing short/low cap deals this team can get out of.

After next summer everybody of really significant cap will be locked up. The cap trend will be a little more clear. Maybe a better quality FA market. THEN see if we can really sink our teeth into something juicy.

In the meantime, I’ve felt like we’ve had good summers in the past, and it’s lead to nothing. Maybe Kling does help provide scoring from the back end. Reaves holds the opposition accountable. Maybe you get a Domi who I’m sure would be HIGHLY motivated to fill that shit disturber roll.

Slight overpay on kampf but otherwise everything else tre has done is low risk so far
